Most vital factor for yeild

What would you guys say is the most important part of growing that determines yield. Speaking both quantity and quality.

I've been told that the amount you yield can vary between 1 gram for every 0.5-1 watt of energy used in lighting, determining in skill, and as far as quality goes, that's where nutrients and feed schedule all come into play, but I wanna hear what other people think.
Genetics. You can't polish a turd.
Assuming you have good seeds/ clones, would be light. Lately, I've been hearing talk about 2 grams per watt. That aside, it's still light, imo.

You can have the best genetics in town if your running it in say a 50 degree room what's going to happen? Or what about a hot room 95 degree or more and high humidity no fans moving air I'm sure that will be some top shelf bud.....

You're making me second guess my decision to flower 3 weeks in, lol. Seriously, though that's the plan.
I was doing my first 12/12 from seed this Spring. Broke the plant badly. Revegged it and turned monster. Good yield.

I started a second from seed. A strain I got this Spring crossing a Bowser 29 male with an Alien Grenade female. It's over a foot tall. Pistils but not trying to bud yet. Good vertical growth. It's a month in. A decent grower can get a good plant in 3-4 weeks but yield isn't going to be like a plant vegged 2-4 months. If you have patience, space and lights.

Perfect environment + Low yielding strain
or
Perfect environment + High yielding strain.

Genetics for the win.

Genetics is the #1.
You can have the best light, environment, etc. But if you do not have good genetics the rest of it does not matter.
The most dialed in room and skillful grower will still end up with shit if the genetics are no good.

Cheers :)

Light.

You have great light, you can get good results no matter what. You can throw a seed in your yard and leave it and do better than some folks with shit lights and all the best of everything else.

Has anyone grown really bad seeds? I stick mostly to my favorite breeder but I have tried many different breeder seeds and have gotten decent results from most of them.

Pretty sure it was my error when it didnt go as well.

I admit I have not tried more recent American forum advertised Seeds or strain of the month breeders.

But even the bulk seeds that are sell all over in stores and online from Europe were pretty good.

That’s why I put environment and grower before genetics.

So what seeds were bad?
