if it's been decided that that was what he was doing, then he does deserve to be removed, and possibly disciplined.
i just find it extremely sad that our society has reached the point where things like this even exist. our entire society is becoming a shitty meme.....
some say we'll see Armageddon soon, the only way to fix it is to flush it all away.....
Bucks post above is why that CG man should have just kept his hand on the keyboard. The idiots in that photo and the dope in the GC vid giving the sign IN UNIFORM reinforces the impression that many have that the services have been infiltrated by racially radical white supremacists.

It's not just me saying this:

This July 12, 2018 photo shows members of the Jasper, Alabama Police Department with Mayor David O'Mary, second from right and Police Chief J.C. Poe, in front of a house in Frisco, Ala., that was the scene of a drug bust. Jasper Mayor David O'Mary tells news outlets that four Jasper officers have been suspended and will lose a week's pay following the publication of a photograph in the Jasper Daily Mountain Eagle on July 12. O'Mary is pictured in that photo alongside several officers, four of whom are making an upside-down "OK" sign with their fingers. He says some have claimed the gesture is meant to express "white power." (Ed Howell/Daily Mountain Eagle via AP)(Ed Howell)

Doesn't matter if this is a troll and the (all white) police officers were "just kidding". Their job is to protect people of all skin colors and their actions cast doubt that they can be depended upon at a critical moment. What they did is a disservice to people earnestly working fulfill that promise.

The article goes on to say:

"The Civil Service Board has a say in what happens relative to compensation loss. We feel it is within the powers of the Mayor to impose a five day loss of pay," O'Mary said in an email. "In addition we will require some diversity training."

He said the officers could be suspended for two weeks.

I'll bet there was some whining and bitching by the officers who were suspended without pay. Because for that kind of people, it's never their fault.

number 1, i don't see any of buck's posts, and have no desire to start now.
i think you "know" me well enough to know by now that i'm not a support of oppression, that i feel like everyone ought to be treated equally. i don't like police officers or anyone else making racist gestures. i also don't like the society we live in. we still have all the problems we've always had. and now people invent new things to offend people with, and people decide old things are now offensive.
why can't people just treat each other like human beings? just because you don't agree with someones political or religious ideology makes it ok to treat them badly? then it's ok for them to treat you badly in return for not believing their ideologies? makes as much sense as anything else i've heard today.....

Some ideologies like white supremacy are vile because they take dignity away and suppress others to the point of murder. The ideology behind daesh or ISIL or ISIS was just as vile. The difference between them is not large. Just ignoring them allows them to grow. And so I don't ignore them. My objective is to make white supremacists uncomfortable or at least take up space with countering messages.

If conflict with white supremacists make you uncomfortable then good.

Trump and the GOP used white supremacists and racist rhetoric to take control of this country. They are gorging themselves. They used racist rhetoric to take control. And I'm in the wrong because I speak facts to counter them?

In my opinion it is my duty to make a racist feel uncomfortable in his decision. It’s almost like your saying the same thing Trump said about there being good people on both sides, hopefully not and hopefully I’m interpreting you wrong. There are no good racists and yes we should treat them badly.

What your people have to say on the issue.

In case you don't want to watch.

"People still keep talking about it as if it's real. I think some police officers got suspended for doing, this (makes okay gesture), in the picture. I mean, this is really just getting to be too much. Alright?"

Have you considered . he may be correct?
Expressing one's self isn't oppression. Not liking your job, doesn't mean someone else is to blame. Denzel Washington was speaking to all people, not just the dark skinned ones.

Yeah some people are dealt a shitty hand in life. But it's a shitty thing to do when your whole goal in life is to purposefully stack the deck against those you blame, rather than play the cards you were dealt and use them to the best of your ability.

Because if you fail to try, that's a sure way to fail.

This is how you change shit. Not JealousDog's devisive retoric.
