Bucks post above is why that CG man should have just kept his hand on the keyboard. The idiots in that photo and the dope in the GC vid giving the sign IN UNIFORM reinforces the impression that many have that the services have been infiltrated by racially radical white supremacists.if it's been decided that that was what he was doing, then he does deserve to be removed, and possibly disciplined.
i just find it extremely sad that our society has reached the point where things like this even exist. our entire society is becoming a shitty meme.....
some say we'll see Armageddon soon, the only way to fix it is to flush it all away.....
It's not just me saying this:
This July 12, 2018 photo shows members of the Jasper, Alabama Police Department with Mayor David O'Mary, second from right and Police Chief J.C. Poe, in front of a house in Frisco, Ala., that was the scene of a drug bust. Jasper Mayor David O'Mary tells news outlets that four Jasper officers have been suspended and will lose a week's pay following the publication of a photograph in the Jasper Daily Mountain Eagle on July 12. O'Mary is pictured in that photo alongside several officers, four of whom are making an upside-down "OK" sign with their fingers. He says some have claimed the gesture is meant to express "white power." (Ed Howell/Daily Mountain Eagle via AP)(Ed Howell)
Doesn't matter if this is a troll and the (all white) police officers were "just kidding". Their job is to protect people of all skin colors and their actions cast doubt that they can be depended upon at a critical moment. What they did is a disservice to people earnestly working fulfill that promise.
The article goes on to say:
"The Civil Service Board has a say in what happens relative to compensation loss. We feel it is within the powers of the Mayor to impose a five day loss of pay," O'Mary said in an email. "In addition we will require some diversity training."
He said the officers could be suspended for two weeks.
I'll bet there was some whining and bitching by the officers who were suspended without pay. Because for that kind of people, it's never their fault.
