correct, i know nothing. if you have info stop being vague and post it...otherwise you seem to be speculating like everyone elseGiven your previous comment “ i don’t claim to...”, i certainly know more about this than you.
Their prices are not 2/3 of HLG lol they are the same or higher. The only thing that would be cheaper is their 48SAM which is compatible to the HLG 600 from GrowersLight.Yeah, they just brought out their new line of business in august, with great product that kicked hlg’s ass for 2/3 the price, and all of a sudden, guess what...they’re focusing on their old business.
And, some people get pretty fucking defensive about mention of it.
Nothin to see, move it along...lol
What makes you think the HLG550 is lower quality.Oh i am mistaken....
I have two 48sams, bought directly from timber, were $671 each, not really comparable to the lower quality flagship hlg 550 V2 listed at https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/all/products/hlg-550 for $1049
(671/1049)*100= 63.97%...not 2/3, my bad!
This is what i was referring to...ya lol-jockey
I have to add heat to my 4x4 with two 48sams in it, wtf do i need an undersized baking sheet for? What makes you think the HLG550 is lower quality.
Is it the the precision machined slab of aluminium for optimal heat transfer.
Lol! You're a fool. Timber is using HLG boards and heatsink for their 48SAM. The only thing they added was a piece of aluminum extrusion to it.I have to add heat to my 4x4 with two 48sams in it, wtf do i need an undersized baking sheet for?
Did i read that thing covers 4.5x5? Fuckin joke!
And, do you have to screwdriver it to dim?
Uglier than fuck, too!
Change the subject eh lol-jockey?Lol! You're a fool. Timber is using HLG boards and heatsink for their 48SAM. The only thing they added was a piece of aluminum extrusion to it.
The SAMS are 5" longer than the 550 and 1" less in width. So their coverage will be almost identicle.
12sq ft for the 48SAM.
GrowersLight sells a 600w version of the 550 for 300$ cheaper, and HLG seems to have no problem with that, even custom making it for them.
Pretty sure it was Dan's own decision to focus on COB's again. With the Sams kits there is not really a good margin when sold for ⅔ the price and when the COB sales go down because he sells more boards he cuts himself into his flesh.
On request, he still seem to sell it... So where is the problem?
As long as he does not respond, it's all speculation...
Exactly! He wants to sell more COBs for the better mark up. If he is still doing custom design on request then HLG have not cut off supply or stopped him using the QBs.Pretty sure it was Dan's own decision to focus on COB's again. Yea at the end of the day Timber and HLG are still competitors. This makes the most sense to me.Exactly! He wants to sell more COBs for the better mark up. If he is still doing custom design on request then HLG have not cut off supply or stopped him using the QBs.
Or_Gro maybe your directing your "Fuck them" comments at the wrong company! But then its easy to see from the title of the thread you already predetermined that HLG was the bad guy in this situation.
Yea. Tho it's quite entertaining to see him/her Spazz out over it!Troll thread, I'll translate. "I don't know what's going on so I'll just make something up".
