If they had probable cause to search your home, they wouldn't be calling you to ask for permission to come inside.
There's no way he could smell anything that small from the street.

If you do plan on letting an officer in your home, make absolutely sure you don't have anything illegal on your property...even any firearms.

I'd tell them to take a hike and move on. I'm all for following the laws but it goes both ways. If you give up your rights then it turns into a police state. That's the reason for the 4th Amendment:

"Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Tell the cop to take a hike and give the neighbor the finger next time you see her. Then crack a beer and smoke a bowl.

Deal with the neighbor? What are you going to do? Best to just leave her alone. Maybe give her the finger when you see her but other than that just leave her be. You go messing around with neighbors and the next thing you know the cops show up and charge you with harassment or the lady has a son or other family members show up and put the beat down on you. Just grow your six plants and call it good.

in most cases i'd agree totally, tell them all to get fucked. this time, i'd let the cop in, show him the grow, then very clearly tell him that the next time he gets a complaint, he'd better bring a warrant with him. then go tell your neighbor that the cops just came by your house, cleared everything you're doing, and the next time they bother you, it will be a lawyer talking to them, not a cop talking to you.

Common area gardeners at my housing area called the police and told them there were homeless people in the basin next to me. They don't like me as I complain about how they are trimming the trees to death. Officer came to my front yard and explained to me why he was here, I told him that I had never seen any evidence or sightings. He walked around and behind my house as it is common area. Police walked right next to my grow shed along the side fence, and said nothing about it. I am 67 and don't fit the profile of mj grower. Two medical recs, I think that means 12 mature and 24 immature?


Third time this has happened for some reason. Growing in California.

Your pot hating neighbors hate you more than ever, you got just enough 'legal' to piss off your spiteful sore loser neighbors and you can't even veg 6 plants if you got six in flower ! Now they know you grow, and will be back once you build a seperate veg room putting you over the corporate defined joke of a limit. Looks like fem producers and schwagg peddlers, the corporate Hortapharm spooks and friends, are getting what they wanted from legalization. A global weed empire while you get 6 measly plants to STILL have the cops knocking on your door. For trucks sake what happens if you wanna grow shrooms or pick up a sheet of blotter ? Legalization is worse than anything. Home inspections, county bans, Hoa now involved, pretty schwagg is the new standard, theres nothing good about legal. Should have kept it medical Cali! Damn it all to hell!

You misunderstood about the lights.

I use a Phillips Hue home lighting system that is colored lights. It has nothing to do with growing.

I’m trying to achieve the clearing of my name, which is what I’m going to do. I posted it because it’s ‘interesting’ and thread worthy. I’m dealing with it, and used this to help talk myself through it. I’m not asking anyone here to help me at all.
