Growing in milk crates?

I never used a bag. I just filled them with promix. I used black and dark green ones for many years outdoors. If you work the soil underneath it the roots easily grow out the bottom and into the ground.

Cheers :)

Nice idea, stacking them! Roots will go right thru them. Perfect urban camo, a discarded carton with weeds growing out of it.
u can, i have a buddy of mine that uses his all year round, we stacked 2 cut he center out, and used a 3rd upside down as a stand, the lower part inside is small rock and sand, then soil and mulch mix for the rest, he also throws in worms too. during off times he covers them for the next grows.

Get a fabric shopping bag if you do not want to spend much on pots. They are strong and cheap. If you need a small one those in liquor shops for two wine bottles are quite small.
