Has anyone experimented with growing (in a bag) inside of milk crates?
I'm indoors so I'd probably use a trash bag as a liner.I never used a bag. I just filled them with promix. I used black and dark green ones for many years outdoors. If you work the soil underneath it the roots easily grow out the bottom and into the ground.
Cheers
Nice idea, stacking them! Roots will go right thru them. Perfect urban camo, a discarded carton with weeds growing out of it.use ground covering and a bungi cord, stack them 2 to 3 high...used tie wraps to lock them together
u can, i have a buddy of mine that uses his all year round, we stacked 2 cut he center out, and used a 3rd upside down as a stand, the lower part inside is small rock and sand, then soil and mulch mix for the rest, he also throws in worms too. during off times he covers them for the next grows.Nice idea, stacking them! I’ve been germinating in baby puffs cans. If any of you guys are parents you’ll know what I mean. They work really well for seedlings.
