If your medical record is in order, as in you haven't done any fuckery like double doctoring or exhibiting 'drug seeking behaviour, then you shouldn't have any issue with you prescribed dosage ... However, if your medical file does contain fuckery you likely won't get far since CCC actually does things properly (who woulda thunk it)
As for my dose, I'm currently at 5g a day (25 plants) but expect to have that raised 2 or 3 grams in a couple weeks when I go for my renewal ... see pics below
They do not charge the patient for anything and also after you get your script from the doctor they assist you with selecting an LP as well as the Health Canada application free of charge (PLEASE NOTE: DON'T SMOKE LP WEED ... IT'S POISONED WITH CHEMICALS and also HAS A 12% CHANCE OR MORE OF BEING MOLDY)
In regards to growing your own - There are 2 doctors that will sign for your personal grow permit at CCC that I am aware of ... if you plan to grow for yourself then be sure to make that abundantly clear so that CCC will schedule your appointment with one of them ... be aware you will be challenged by the doc in regards to you knowing how to grow cannabis if you take this route and we all know growing good cannabis takes time, equipment and knowledge ... I got my ACMPR registration due to being registered to grow previously through the MMAR which made things quite a bit easier in my case (And it is a "Registration", not a license or a permit)
Hope this helps
