I fear your assessment of their financial position is accurate and they're about to flame out in spectacular Silicon Valley fashion.
...which would be too bad, because they're nice cars the world needs more than ever.

I hope they succeed to. But trying to compete with the Japanese and European brands is always going to be damn hard. They should concentrate more on the more profitable and less competitive part of the business- Battery packs and solar technology rather than automobile manufacture.

I play the lottery for entertainment, I dont gamble with it. I throw 50-100 bucks a year at it for entertainment. Play the big lottos, couple Keno games, some scratch offs here and there while on the road, etc.
Playing for any other reason other than entertainment isn't desperate, its just dumb. It just doesn't pay.

I read somewhere that those fancy Lithiom ion packs do more environmental damage than the gas they save. Not sure on that one but something put in your pipe and smoke on...

Expensive to replace the packs to and I don't think they have a very long life.

This is the actual reason for GM ending jobs. They've been getting pushed around in the market for a long time, decades actually. New companies are coming to take their place regardless.

Yep. It's a shame folks didn't buy them. SUV's are what is selling. I've been saying for years we need to kick up the gas tax high enough that folks will be forced to drive fuel efficient cars. It has worked in EU countries.
