Alcohol For oils

I used to use 99% iso but they stopped selling it here. I started using 91% ISO instead. I get awesome golden oil, from 24hr evaps to dry crystal. I use a no/low heat evap with moving air to retain all the terps possible. I've used 95% ethanol before but its much more expensive so I stopped. I never saw any difference in the products.

THERE IS NOTHING IN 91-99% ISO other then alcohal and water.

DO NOT USE "denatured" alcohol it does have shit in it.

IPA 99% is denatured ..hence///why you cant drink it

does as good a job as any if not better if done correctly as I say..

Thats crazy expensive I"ll pass. When I buy quarts of ISO I spend roughly $12 per gallon, sometimes its $9 when there is a sale.
I went through 3 bottles which lasted about 6 months since my Extract Craft Source recovers most of the alcohol. Getting there is my biggest issue. If someone uses that (Global) I sure hope they have a system that recovers most of the alcohol. ISO is easy to get shipped right to my door and much less expensive to use.

moonshiners should keep the first 2 jars and sell to extractors!lmao
Nah, still impurities in it ... just take some of the firsts in a spoon and light it on fire and you will see the crackling of the flames

I've stilled a few hundred litres in my time, Ice storm of '98 in Southern Ontario was one of the largest batches

The Supreme Court ruling granted med patients the right to concentrates. But they can't be made with any solvents.
So a rosin press is perfect for those wanting to remain law abiding. I can't think of any other way to make concentrates without some type of stripping solvent.
Tumbling also qualifies.
Supercritical CO2 or dry ice

Can you drink a bottle of ISO !
Don't think so.

If it isn't edible of fit for human consumption i don't use it.

the alcohol is reclaimed after first use to 99% and is reusable.

in any event i haven't made extract with it in a long time, have changed over to Rosin a while back.
no solvents, alcohol or anything needed. produces the cleanest you can get without going lab setups.

How about distilates?

Didn't think of the dry ice.....wouldn't the C02 still be considered a solvent?
Maybe, it doesn't explode though
No, supercritical co2 is not an organic solvent

In order for a compound, or anything for that matter, to be an organic one the carbon must be bonded to a hydrogen ... also, in the case of organic solvents, hydrocarbons must be bonded to the carbon

So supercritical co2 can be used to make extracts
