Instead you'd run around with your hair on fire because of the histrionic opinion pieces by Chris Hedges who is always saying the sky is about to fall. Not that Chris Hedges is bad.
He's OK. Just that he's always saying society is just about to fail. Year in and year out.

Also, I agree that white men don't care that minorities and women have gained in the battle for equality and are more optimistic about the future. But, yeah, that's not important to you. Your racism and misogyny is showing again.

Only a year and a half after I reached the same conclusion. Maybe the senate will be abolished before many more people get sick of the bernout cult.

I guess we’ll never know but even I (someone looking in) know they are not the same, not even close. i do....why are white men a homogeneous block to you, all guilty of the same sins? can't a few of us give a shit about other people? you say white males are born into a charmed life...i don't feel particularly charmed. i feel like i worked hard and earned every single thing i've ever gotten. just like the Mexican across the street, and the black couple upstairs....
i just don't like being turned into an atom in an ivory monolith.....

You are absolutely right. I meant and should have said "white men like you (tty)". They are not a minority of white men -- about 60%, actually -- and within that group there is a spectrum from racist and misogynist-leaning to all-out radical.
