Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

i called today they couldn't tell me anything.. i asked what date they were on processing cards and lady said she couldn't say... but she told me they haven't started approving my app. they just confirmed that they received it oct 26.... also i have changed my name since i applied and learned that as long as i send in a change of name form and documents before they start processing my application i don't have to pay anything so thats good news....
 
Some good news you can call idph and they will give you your QP # and you can check on the Cannabis Pilot website and check the status. Mine was printed / shipped Friday. So even when they say approved does mean its actually shipped it seems like their is a week from the time approved till sent to print then shipped...

Yeah, you’ve got some time yet! They are just getting to the beginning of October, so I would say you’ve got at least 2 weeks, maybe 3 with Christmas and New Years coming up. Sorry!

I was approved 12/10

printed / shipped "from east coast" 12/14 said the idph, so it is def in the mail call idph to get your exact ship/print date and ask for your QP # too.
 
So I may not have the best news....the guy said they cannot give you the QP number, until you get your card.

Also, he said they shipped my card from the dispensary on the 14th, which means I probably won’t get it until middle/end of the week.

Sorry for the bummer of an update

I got mine by just asking questions, I said " I am registering on the Cannabis Pilot site and need some type of QP number" and he read it off and I wrote it down. It was a guy I talked to myself he also told me when my card actually shipped.

He told me the same day aka last Friday.

Yeah, he told me it shipped from the east coast, but said he can’t give me the number, until I get my card. I guess I’ll follow your tracking details!! If you don’t mind, keep me posted! Did it give you a estimated shipping date?

No just says "active" with the number thats it, I think its used to confirm card status for dispensary to check your status. If you look at the drop down menu on that page it has several options I selected "QP"

I must have called at a bad time and he wouldn’t give it to me. I think you got lucky, with how secretive they have been on giving any info out, I’m surprised they gave that out!
