unusual symptom, not sure whats going on. tops are pointing straight up

wdym fresh water feed? is that the same as changing the reservoir? if so i've already done that 4-5 hours ago, i recon that the plants started to droop back down like normal once it was changed about 1 hour in they started to come down.
this almost confirms my friend's theory of deposits building up; again, it's tap water i'm using, straight from my bath tub, so this i feel like is very likely.

Plant is probably purple now because your room is so cold. Raise room temp. you have the pots on the floor with no insulation against the cold? Concrete or wood floor?
Whats the rez temp?
Whats the tap ppm?
whats the ppm after adding nutes?

it was suggested by a friend that doesn't have a clue about what I am doing suggested it could be from deposits building up in my res water (i do use tap, so it's very possible).

fixed it for you in case you take advice from "friends" again.

if i raise my room temp. root rot starts showing once it gets to 69+. i don't have any insulation for my buckets, and i don't think i should be using insulation for them, as my temps would get too high, and grow rootrot.
neither concrete/wood floor, i'm on carpet. res temps vary the same exact as my room temps.(54-68F) tap ppm is 80, ppms after added nutes is 425 using 6g jacks, 4g calnit, and 2g epsom.
how expensive are RO systems? & just because he doesn't know much about what i'm doing doesn't make him any less/more of a friend. he was only trying to help.

Ok.. if its on carpet then you wouldn't need to insulate the bottom from concrete sucking the heat out of it.

Is it city tap or well water tap? Tap at 80ppms starting isnt that much and an R/O system probably isnt what you need. When have you calibrated the ppm meter last?

69-70 degrees is like the sweet spot for hydro. When it gets up to and beyond 77 or so it starts to go south. You have good air going since your in a dwc i take it? Microbes will help keep root rot away if you get that alot, plenty of air helps too.

it's well water; i've just got this ppm meter less than 2 weeks ago & it came calibrated.
in this plant's res i have 2 airstones, in the other i have 1. you could only guess which one has grown better. so yes, i have pretty good air going.
