2x1200 Led Grow (need some advice)

No you don't.

Either way, a couple of 500 watt blurps should produce fairly well in a space that small. Do you seriously not have an intake/exhaust setup?
if you cant cool that space with leds in it you doent have enough air flow. plants are probably having a hard time getting the fresh oxygen they need.

despite the no air flow and Chinese leds the plants look ok

First of all plant itself produces oxygen and realeses carbon and as far as I visit them 2-3 times a day and humidity level is good I think there should be no problem with air circulation. I know air circulation is a good thing but I have a discreet place so there is no way I can make intake/exhaust setup :) can anybody tell me how close should I hang those Leds to give my plant as much light as possible and do not burn them at the same time?

Your plants look really healthy and happy congrats! That step one for any grow.

Those colas look to have the potential to be decent sized. I do think more light would help but I don't think it's the only reason they aren't as big as you expect.

To start I would turn the other switch on. The only time that I've seen light bleaching in my 13 years of growing was when one of my plants grew a lot while I was out of town. When I got home the very top bud was about 8ish inches from my 1k hps. And that was too close. The tip area turned bleach white but the rest of the plant was fine and kept growing after I moved things around.

Based on the inverse square law 12" is pretty much the ideal distance to keep a light source for optimal intensity. Beyond that point the amount of light that hits a surface is drastically reduced. With only one switch on your not using part of the available light, so you aren't even getting the full 250ish w from each light.

More light will = more buds

Now secondly are you counting your 6 weeks from when you switched the lights to 12/12 or from when you started seeing flowers? Those pictures look more like 4ish weeks to me then 6.

Either way being nice and healthy I would expect that they will grow intensely over the next 4-5 weeks. I don't put a lot of weight on what breeders say for Harvest times. You just gotta see how long your plants take in your garden.
Thanks for reply, it is 6th week since I switched 12/12, I would better hang those lights closer to plant because if I turn both switches on temperature will rise definitely because I dont have any intake or exhaust at all. For the exact harvest time I have bought a usb microscope so I will be pretty sure when the right time comes :)

you are asking how to improve your buds. people are tell you where to improve. you need to replenish the C02 in the room for the plants.

do with the info what you want

If it's been 6 weeks since the switch, then really the plants are around 4weeks, 5 at most.

That makes this plant pretty much exactly on track from what I'm seeing. Over the next 4-5 weeks the buds will grow a lot!

Then they will stop growing outwards and they will swell up internally and become heavier and usually denser. It's during this time that they will mature and you can start checking trichomes.

As far as heat and light distance. What are your temps in your space?

Temperatures are around 22/28 (night/day)

Do you have more then just that one little fan in there moving air? Just having air moving can help a lot with cooling. Evaporative cooling is mother natures temp control :).

Getting some air moving under your plant canopy will help a lot in general. You don't want stagnant areas which can allow mold or Pm.

I feel like your temps are definitely near the top end during the day. I don't know what climate you have. But where I am at I run my lights at night. In the summer this keeps things cooler and in the winter it helps keep them warmer :).

Anything you can do to get air moving will help though. Do you have a carbon filter scrubbing the air? These plants have got to be starting to stink all good like.

This is actually one of the things I like about my air cooled hps. Everyone talks about how hot they are but when you cool the light most of the heat is gone.

I would have to wonder if just actively blowing air on or through the LED fixture would reduce the heat by much?

I have 2 little fans and the whole plant is wiggling, the Leds are not producing much heat directly on the plant but as far as air is not moving out the temperatures still rise anyway. My lights are turned on during night and this helps me keep temperatures a little cooler. I dont have any carbon filter but I am planning to make that set up, just wonder if it can help in the case where air coming from filter is still kept in the grow space. I think carbon filter will still help as far as it filters air faster then the plant stinks :)))

The carbon filter will still help a ton. When you use it inside the room instead of as part of the exhaust it is called "scrubbing" the air. It will help keep the air inside your chamber from becoming "extra" stinky so that any air that escapes isn't to bad.

The fan from the carbon filter will also help move more air which may continue to help with evaporative cooling.

Any thing you could do to get temps low enough to turn on your other switches will give you more light = more yield and bigger buds.

Thanks for info, I will set up carbon filter in the next few days, hope it will cool down temperature and help with smell. Also I lowered my leds for about 2.5 inches so the plants receive more light, as my leds are just above the plant it won't reduce coverage area

Nice plan dude. I don't know how much room you have above your lights, but if there was a way to hook up the fan for the carbon filter so that it blows at the top of the lights I bet it would help to lower temps more because you will be more actively cooling the light. That might let you turn on the other switch.

I keep bringing that up because on most of the switchable LEDs the second switch also adds a different light spectrum. Having a wide spectrum will definitely help improve growth and quality too. That's why some people run hps and mh.

In fact both switches have the same spectrums, the difference is in quantity. For example vegetative switch has more blue than red, but both switches have blue and red spectrum, the only difference in spectrum is that flowering switch has far red spectrum and the other doesnt :) I can still lower Led's but they are about 6-7 inches away from tops and I think that should be pretty enough, I will look a few days how the plant reacts and than maybe lower for 1 more inch:))

The fact that the veg switch has more blue is what I'm telling you that you want to add to your plants if you can find a way!

The fact that either switch has more blue or more red means they have different spectrums bud. Adding more I both spectrums is awesome.

Having your lights at 6-7 inches is awesome. That is getting you tons of light.

If you could keep them that height or even raise them to 10-11 inches but use both switches I think you would be better off though because you would get more power and spectrum to boot.

I read this article about 3-4 month ago and after that came up with the idea that maybe if I give my plants the same ammount of light with only 1 switch on it would be better to run only 1 switch. Because it has better ratio to produce more quality buds but only in the case if light intenisity would be the same. Anyway the article is quite good and you may find it interesting :)
