Ok well I have about 10 grows with quantum boards at various intensity that I measure with a apogee mq500 Mar meter. Did you just read an article or are you speaking from experience?
Just some shit he read online no doubt. There is a point where c02 is the limiting factor but it's not 700 ppfd.
I posted the science. Fluence is a osram company. Pretty sure they know what they are talking about considering they are one of the top ten LED manufactures . But you never know could be a Co2 scam and they have tons of stock in the Co2 trade. Yeah man they just made it all up to get rich on the dime of a poor man.But yeah no bullshit here it is straight from fluence http://fluence.science/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/High-PPFD-Cultivation-Guide-9.27.16.pdf

So you have no experience cool that's all I asked. If the op wants to listen to you over me that's cool just wanted to clarify that you have no real world experience other than reading brochures.

How much would that strip setup be for my space and how many total watts ?
How many gpw do you think I could get with this setup compared to a cmh

Thanks
David
Well, for example purposes....
The HLG240H48A, will run 5x of the SI-B8V521B20WW (SamS Single row 4ft 3000k) at around 1100ma(ish) (250w)
That would be 10 drivers and 50 strips to get you in the bottom end of the overall wattage range,.... 50 bucks per driver, 30 bux a strip.... you'd have to fit all those strips together on aluminum U channel, for heatsink/ framework, 25+ 8ft lengths at 10-11 bucks a pop....
500+1500+250, plus the wiring, rivots, thermal tape , what have you.........I dunno 2500 bones, ballpark for 2500W, ....You can get it to $1 per W usually....extra savings with BULK part orders, drivers by the 10, ect….
I never needed anything that big, 2x4 panels max.... But it seems like the driver pricing is pretty stable, watt per watt , so its really just a matter of multiple collections of driver/strip combos....There's definitely other ways, that's just what I penciled out on a whim....

And it would be a spectacle of greatness.
Why would you run those on a 240. The double row strips will push 107 watts. 32 strips on 320 or 480 drivers depending. Would fukn rock a 9x9

Edit: sry I see you said single row strips. Not double rows. But I run mine below typ. I'm running mine at 1111mA bc that's where they fell out. I have 12 on 13.34a hlg320-24b 336 watts on just those. Plus I have 6 96 diode sunboards. Double row being pushed at 1888mA @24v. I also have (4) 120 diode 60 deep red and 60 HE Photo reds being pushed on a lpv-100-24

So you know better then OSRAM. lol lol . Very valid point all of the science fluence / osram puts out is not true if you read it in a brochure. lmfao lol lol Oh god I needed a good laugh this morning. LOL if I told you water freezes @ 32 degrees F are you going to dismiss it because I read it in a book. What temperature does water really freeze at the all knowing and wise Ryante55 ?

Have a 9x9 space and want to build a led setup

8 QB96's V2
8 HLG-320H-54's

My plan is to add pc fans and try to run the QB's at 300+ watts each to put out 2400 watts of light over my growing area.

Does anyone see any problems with this setup in regards to driving these boards at this wattage?
Are there other led setups that would do better in this space for approximately the $1600 i'm going to spend on this setup?

Thanks

David
x16 of them @ 160-200w a peice is all you'll need. 185w x 16 = 2960. That should do it
This will allow u to stay within a respectable efficiency & efficacy range, have enough light & spread, reduce risks of opperation failure & prob be easiest on the pocket.

Hey I said he can listen to you if he wants I just think it needs to be noted that you have zero experience. All those blurple companies used "science" to justify their bullshit that worked out great....

LMFAO
It is noted that YOU think I have zero experience and once again you are pulling shit out of your ass with zero and I do mean zero proof. Calling Osram a blurple company just shows how truly ignorant you are about LED. But hey at least I make one pretty LED light even though lmfao I have zero experience lol . 1125181552e.jpg 1125181552.jpg

Well in my experience the cut off for needing co2 isnt 700. Which I'm sure each environment and strain is different. But I'm at roughly 950ish and I dont use co2. And I yield ok. I'm only pulling 5.5-6.5 zips per 2gal.

Yeah people are funny zero knowledge other than reading something online. He's not even considering alot of major factors.

It depends on the strain. The last two runs of cookies n chem. I found a keeper in a pack from GPS. First run I left untopped let her go natural. She yielded 5.66 zips with 4 week veg. In 2gal radiclebag. Seed plant. Second run (clone) I vegged for 5 weeks. Topped once, early. After rooting. Pulled it to one side and let it grow. Same pot. Pulled 6.45 zips. Flowered first run 71 days. Second run 77 days.

First run. Seed plant.

Second run from clone.

Holly shit they finally kicked uncle buck to the curb. You can search is name in the forum and all the comes up is when people quoted him. LoL they deleted all his posts... But yeah just a very demented trouble maker that was here to stir the pot rather then try to learn or teach. AKA forum troll of the worst kind. Kinda surprised they let him get away with what he did for as long as he did.
