Review of OilXGreen THC Extraction System

and don't call the fire department when you knock that thing over and a fire starts.
@Renfro,
If the insurance company requires a fire inspection report, they will be able to isolate where the fire started and depending on the chemical reactions during burning, they will be able to tell it was from a solvent that is not usually found in homes, which will cause suspicion and could cause the person to lose their insurance and get black listed and be unable to get insurance again for a while.

This used to happen to jewelers who used Acetylene torches.
If you insurance company found out you had a tank of acetylene on your property, they would cancel your insurance, right there and put a note on your file so no other insurance company would touch you...

@WeedFreak78, pentane is a pretty common laboratory extraction solvent, which usually leaves nothing behind.
That coupled with it's low boiling point make it a good choice for distillation in labs.

But outside a lab, I would be cautious about buying pentane, because it's pretty obvious what you will be using it for (especially if it is shipped to a residential address) and unless you have a solvent extraction license for your area, I wouldn't take the chance to draw any more attention then need be...
It is much easier to get an alcohol distillation license to make ethanol "fuel" and then use what you distill for your extracts.
This way if someone rats you out and the fuzz shows up, you have a license and they will have to go away (eventually)...

If the fuzz does show up and you have an unregistered "still" or parts of a still, pentane, and no license, they are going to set up camp at your house and stick around until they can find as much to use against you as possible...

The coil alone on the still can be used to nail you with a felony.

However if you have a simple distillation setup using lab glass, this sort of falls into a gray area legally.
They may confiscate it, but you won't see jail time.
If you have a license to make fuel and you register your glass, there is nothing they can do to you, unless they can manufacture something...

So, I wouldn't risk using something that to a cop looks like a hooch still, when for less money you can get a simple distillation setup, register it, sign up for a license and put yourself in a position to be guarded in case they come knocking...
I'm no attorney, but I think there's already a gray area in the process. No one's producing solvents, they're purchasing legal solvents, and just altering their physical state. I don't know if it falls under production. But seeing how it's a FED offense, I don't want to be the test case.

Yeah but I can see a customer filing a lawsuit against them in civil court.

@WeedFreak78,
It is passing through a condenser coil, so in the gov'ts eyes that's distilling and if it isn't being done with lab glass, then it's under the category of "moonshine" which is a felony without a license.

Or all the studies the government has on how cannabis is so very harmful.
@Renfro,
Most of those reports are back from the "reefer madness" and Nixon days.
And to be honest it was because the CIA had been tweaking THC to use as a truth serum.
They knew how easy it was to make and vilification of cannabis was they're way to ensure no one ever had enough to be able to experiment and find out.

jesus the lack of self-awareness in this last conversation was mind boggling. "Oh my god that still is soo illegal" while posting pics of 100 plant grow ops that could get you life in prison... give me a fucking break....

Gentlemen: there is NO gray area.

if you manufacture marijuana extracts - it doesn't matter if you used glass, copper, stainless steel, rubber hose or a donkey's vagina - IT IS A FEDERAL CRIME. it is still illegal to produce, possess, buy, sell or consume cannabis or cannabis derived products in the US under federal law.

Have enough of it on hand and you'll die in prison.....

I wouldn't buy this for anything by the way...

but you guys are trippin...

@Renfro,
Today's defendant is a 40 year old who claims their marital aid was too powerful
"I chipped my tooth on my vibrator!"
And they want eleventy billion dollars for the grief that has been caused.

How's your extract test for residuals without a vacuum purge?
We had our final product tested at Steep Hill in Oakland, CA. It tested out at 3100 ppm (parts per million) the safe level is 5000 ppm.
We only did a quick purge using hot water instead of a heater so you can obviously get even better results using a heater and additional stirring.
Here is a link to the actual test results.

They are selling "stills" to customers who apparently aren't aware that even the possession of still parts can land them in jail.
Technically this is not a still. It is a solvent recovery system. It does not boil the pentane to create a new product. It mearley collects the Pentane leaving behind the EXTRACT. Solvent recovery systems have been around for years and are perfectly legal.
