I run 2 gal smart pots under 600 hps and a 315 cmh I just order the Be1 it's on its way. so this is what il do, I will make two pots with your amendment recommendations il do the slurry test at your command I will ONLY give the two plants what you guys say when you say, this way I can learn how to react to my slurry test more effectively il take pic and post every single thing I do to the plants so other to see and for me to learn.

with the FFT /FFF start with slurries before tea and flush . rally they don't want you to do a slurry until there an issue , but I like to do a preventive slurries , before you gotta go into an oh shit mode... plus reading plants help to ,but again im anal about it ... plus it tells me how far I can push it ...

new I would add some EWC....Bokashi ... start simple ..amended soil , biochar , EWC , one shot ....later on as you get better add frass , gro-koshia add to (TD).... work with the same strain and play with the soil ....
CHECK...il let you no when I get them setup ..about a week or so ...and the thank uou

Keep it simple, bubba nailed it.....I would get the absolute best castings available, if you can, I would step up to 3 gallons. Makes TOPD and SLURRIES easier to do IMO.

I do like throwing in crab shell, like a 1/4 - 1/3 cup per cu. Ft. bag #4. it last along time in the soil, calcium, phosphorous, chitin......lots of benefits to boost endo myco colony connection, strengthens early root development, keeps long term soil ph balanced. Like Bubba's ammended soil, as it dries the ph drifts up...this is what healthy soil is supposed to do!! Slurry numbers to verify, then guide you to the best feed Ph compared to the drift of the buffering soil. So crab is a safe and smart addition, especially when using RO water.

Biochar is great too, don't need to exceed 10% of your volume of soil, 5% just as good...too many benefits to list and only needs to be ammended in once!! It lasts in the soil forever. So for a cu. Ft = 7.5 gallons @ 10% is 3/4 gallon. That's max, 1/2 gallon is masterfull!! Make sure it's been buffered, seller usually innoculate the char with EM1, compost teas and fish hydrolysate.

was thinking ... some one told me a few years ago how easy it is to grow.. I said sure it is , if you want to grow shit !!! some have no idea how much there is to it ... mixing , measure nutrients , RO water filling jugs for the next watering cause you want water at room temp , brewing teas , enviroment , amending soil ...going over notes ... yep its easy !!!! there times ill have a 1/2 day into it .. let not forget when to harvest and when you do harvest and trim that takes hours... drying and then curing .. up rooting the pots and getting ready to run the cycle again ... lets not forget the clones and whats involved with that .....yup its easy...

lol...its bubba ...you can use complete dry soil , just put it in your posts and moisten it and there you go .. its gonna get wet anyway .....but doing a pre moisten and slurry it gives you which path needs to go with ppm / ph ...

Yucca is your friend to rewet soil Thats gone hydrophobic. If you have a tote, and don't mind getting your hands dirty you can water in a quart at a time and mix....continue that until everything is evenly moist. Watering it in thru the pot will create dry pockets, or over saturated media that I wouldn't recommend planting in And takes forever to dry out. Base saturation or field capacity is usually 10% soil volume....so 10 gallons should hold 1 gallon of water. Start there and add more gradually until its that perfect texture. I love getting my hands down in the soil and feeling its wonderful tecture!! And a good idea to reinnoculate too, castings/bokashi/tea, because all the microbes are dead, dorment, or in spore form. Wake that soil up and put it to work!!

I didn't even give yucca a thought , really don't like using it but with dry soil , super dry ... of course .
I don't use byte is much because it's such a low concentration. I use 1-2.5 ml per gallon of ThermX70 with Damn near ever watering. Feed water saturated the soil so evenly and bacteria & fungi love it!! It allows my soil to dry more evenly as well. Why don't you like it bubba?
