im feeding my coco ph of 5.3-5.5 but in my run off, i keep testing a 6.0 everytime?
Is that a soil pH chart or coco pH chart? Kinda looks like soil, isn't coco usually run at a lower pH? I have heard 5.8, 6.0 from growers that were getting good results with coco. I am not a coco expert by any means so please correct me if I am wrong.

It just looked like that chart was sorta centered on 6.5 and thats ideal for soil and soiless mix. So if 5.8 is better for coco that chart seems to be cutting off Phosphorous uptake pretty hard at 5.8. I know coco buffers differently than soil and needs a lower pH like hydro.Which Medium you use doesn't change the plants ability to uptake nutrients at the correct ph. Which is 5.8-6.3
Why would the plants ability to uptake nutrients with a certain pH change with the medium it is growing in?My mistake, that is a soil pH chart. Sorry, can only find charts for Hydro and soil.
Here is a Hydro I found.View attachment 4286104
If you look for example at Canna's info sheets, they say that with soil, coco, recurcilating hydro the best range is 5.2 - 6.2.Coco has a Ph of 6.5 to 7 so your water is being buffered up by the coco.
Like mentioned above, you'd be better in the 6-6.5 range.
Exactly, no need.I've been growing in coco for years. 6.0 pH is what I adjust to when watering. I've never once checked runoff pH because it'a s waste of time.
had a problem with cal at 5.2-5.5 so i bump it up to 6.2 and there doing fine now!Exactly, no need.
Coco's pH is around 6-6.5 that's one of it's strengths. No need for buffers, actually the coco acts as the buffer.
Absolutely, the energy will be used up in the rest of the flowers.3rd week into flower, was wondering if you can still prune the smaller bud sites lower branches ect??
