Ph in Ph out?

Which Medium you use doesn't change the plants ability to uptake nutrients at the correct ph. Which is 5.8-6.3
It just looked like that chart was sorta centered on 6.5 and thats ideal for soil and soiless mix. So if 5.8 is better for coco that chart seems to be cutting off Phosphorous uptake pretty hard at 5.8. I know coco buffers differently than soil and needs a lower pH like hydro.

My mistake, that is a soil pH chart. Sorry, can only find charts for Hydro and soil.
Here is a Hydro I found.Nutrient_Chart2 (2).jpg

Why would the plants ability to uptake nutrients with a certain pH change with the medium it is growing in?
I see those charts for many years and always wondered why they are different in Coco, Soil and Hydro.
I know that different mediums buffer single elements differently, but is that the only reason?

Coco has a Ph of 6.5 to 7 so your water is being buffered up by the coco.

Like mentioned above, you'd be better in the 6-6.5 range.

If you look for example at Canna's info sheets, they say that with soil, coco, recurcilating hydro the best range is 5.2 - 6.2.
But if you look at the bottle of pH - or pH + it says 5.2 - 6.4
Everest Fernandez (the guy with the fastpaced video's) says that you can go to 6.5. But in another video he says that you should always remain around 5.8 and not let it drift.
So if these 'experts' don't know it for sure, how should we know? :?

Trust the science my friend.
Learn how pH works and you will understand it and be able to manipulate it.

pH is a balancing act. Coco is 6.5 and the ideal range is 6-6.8 for nutrient uptake in plants.
Then water with a PH of 5.8-6.8 will work well.
The 6.5 pH of the coco buffers the 5.8 up to 6 or 6.2ish. And buffer down the water with the pH of 7.
That's how I understand it. The closer to 6.2 you are the better I think.

I do trust science. (in general)
but with the whole pH discussions I don't know anymore who are scientists and who are parrots :p

It is very complex and from different sources you hear different opinions.
I will have to do a lot more of reading.

I've been growing in coco for years. 6.0 pH is what I adjust to when watering. I've never once checked runoff pH because it'a s waste of time.

Exactly, no need.
Coco's pH is around 6-6.5 that's one of it's strengths. No need for buffers, actually the coco acts as the buffer.
