are you retarded? Serious question before this discussion can advance.
You mad, bro?

Just answer my question:

Are you saying that the reason why she garnered more than 70% of the black vote and did even better in the South is because Clinton spoke, as you say, "jive"?

So you are retarded.

You must think Donald trump won because he has the best arguments.

No it has, nothing to do with name recognition. It must be because the clintons are just black people magnets!

A no name senator from Vermont* pulled 30% away from the most well known female politician in America who already lost to the black president previously. Any reason why I might find your cognitive abilities lacking? If you havent managed to infer this on your own, I dont have time to keep this discussion going.

Ok, so let's try this a different way.

The only demographic that Bernie did well with were white men. Nobody can win the Democratic Party's nomination without doing well with other members of the party. What reason do you have to explain why Bernie did so poorly with black, Latino and women voters?

Donald trump won with majority white support. If you guys werent so obsessed with appearance and trying to sound like you belong, you wouldnt all be so transparently fake. Stop trying to herd minorities with identity politics, offer policy proposals like free college to help poor communities have access to economic mobility. Universal healthcare would help most poor people, regardless of ethnicity it should be a right. Those with African ancestry have distinct recessive traits that can prove to be major hinderances from the related expenses. Examples: likelihood to have certain forms of diabetes that requires constant insulin(very costly these days), or sicle cell anemia, or the fact that some groups have very little exposure to alcohol(like some ethnic Americans) and thus are likely to develop harsher addictions. We need mental health coverage, that doesnt only come when the person has hit rock bottom after they try using every drug they can find to fix their neuroses. Bernie was for ending the drug war. Instead we get cops like kamala harris being touted as the front runner.

And here is today another poll after bernies announcement . hes polling better with minorities than whites. Everything you just said is a farce that only exists inside your head.Dz0dq6IU8AM1l6a.jpg

Locking a thread due to differences in politics? How pathetic could you possibly be to accept defeat first as an opening salvo.

Ok, I'll let you concede my point that Bernie Sanders lost in 2016 because he could not gain the votes of black, Latino and women voters. The next time you talk about a rigged election in 2016, I hope you are ready to explain why white men were the only group who was not affected by that so-called rigging. To me that theory has the whiff of white male patronage and racism. Not saying racist but definitely leans in that direction. But you might be able to finally explain what others have not been able to. Come ready the next time you say "rigged" or something like that.

Moving on to 2020, there is always a bump in the polls when an important candidate announces. Maybe Bernie's announcement will hold but more than likely based upon past election cycles, the bump will recede within days or weeks. Opinion polls like this are not really very useful to predict who will win. They do tell us what people are thinking at the moment. So, good for Bernie. People don't hate him. I could pull up competing polls that show Biden ahead of Sanders by almost double percentage margin.

But I won't.

A better analysis can be found here:

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-5-key-constituencies-of-the-2020-democratic-primary/

Rather than ask simple yes or no and lump everybody together, the people who wrote this article went further into who is saying a certain candidate appeals to them. The top left sub-plot contains the key to help decipher what the pollsters found.

If we focus on Bernie, he as always appeals most to the left wing of the Democratic Party and with Millennials. In the 2016 primary, Bernie pretty much had those groups to himself. Assuming all these people actually enter primary elections next year, Bernie will have competition with Harris, O'Rourke and Booker for Millenials while Warren looks every bit as appealing to the left as Sanders. According to this analysis, Bernie has made no ground with black voters or Hispanic voters. Especially he's made no progress with "Party Loyalists" who -- as described in the article are "mostly older, white and upper-middle class. And mostly women. Many are politically active and count themselves as members of the #Resistance. As a rough guide, Party Loyalists probably represent around 30 percent of the Democratic electorate"

To summarize, going into this primary season, Sanders must defend his base more than he needed to in 2016 AND somehow make up for losing 30% of the Democratic Party's Loyalists while managing to turn around years of poor appeal to Latino, women and black voters who together make up 40% of the party. Maybe you should start working on a new "the election was stolen from Bernie" false conspiracy theory for 2020.

I'm not putting up this chart as bafflegab. I'm just saying that Bernie did nothing to mend or build bridges over the past few years. "Why?" is not for me to say but I can definitely say his rhetoric over the past two years has been more divisive than inclusive. For example, his performance in Jackson Mississippi on April 4, 2018 when at a town hall meeting held to honor MLK, Bernie spent his entire time on stage making patronizing statements about Obama while telling the audience how badly Obama did as president. He's simply not a good leader when it comes to issues that particularly affect women and minority voters.

As shown on the chart above, Bernie has more competition in 2020 in the areas where he has the most appeal and he made no improvement where he lacks appeal. He's done the opposite as a matter of fact.

Kamala Harris is in the sweet spot with most groups. No wonder Cult of Sanders hate her.

Looking back on your posts you seem fragile. I hope I haven't hurt your feelings by presenting the facts of life to you regarding the upcoming election and Bernie's chances in 2020. If so, let me know if there is anything I can do to help you feel better.

this is speculation over a month old, bernie Sanders out-fundraised the democratic frontrunner kamala harris in under 4 hours. It took her a day to make 1.5 million, he made 4 million in barely 12 hours, he's got more support behind him. He's polling the highest today. Hes got dedicated following, which will carry him through the primaries. Id rather end this convo and pick it up in a year or two when things settle. Consider this

Bernies slogan "Hindsight is 2020"

Its gonna be funny to see how many candidates drop out do to lack of funding, only to see droves of young adults penny up for an old socialist lmao.

Kamala harris lied on hot97 about smoking weed and lustening to snoop Dogg in high school and college, when his album wouldnt have come out for another 4 years. Everyone knows she's a liar, who decided not to prosecute Steven Mnuchin's bank for fraud. Tough on kids and potheads, absolute wet towel on white collar criminals.

That doesn't address Bernie's weakness described in the article. I totally agree that Bernie has a fanatic following. He has competition with Millenials and the Left this time around. He has been dead in the water with respect to groups in the Democratic party that didn't vote for him in 2016. You can hang your hat on the latest best news about his fundraising but by this post of yours, you fail to demonstrate the ability to understand why Bernie isn't likely to win this time around.

In two years, you will be crying about how the 2020 primary was rigged.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the most prominent politician in the spotlight right now on social media aside from Donald trump, and she was elected on the same platform as bernie Sanders, she was a campaign organiser for him in 2016 and won her election in 2018. Sanders is building his coalition now, and the centrists who pivot to the left now are going to be obviously doing so for expedient reasons, like hillary did at the age of 60 when she decided it was cool for gay people to be married.

Hillary is not running in 2020. I'll be glad to go back to that debate, which you were losing and deflected away from if you like. I'd prefer to stay on point with the 2020 election.

Occasio Cortez has had a great start as a freshman Representative. In six years, she will be old enough to run for President and I hope by then she has shown the ability to be one.

The candidate who IS running for President, Bernie Sanders hasn't shown the ability to garner majority votes with women, black voters, or Hispanic voters. Within the white male Democratic voting group, he's weak with older middle class male voters and always has been.

Can he improve his chances by expanding his base? Yes, he absolutely can. When I go back and look for signs of his doing so, I can't find any articles of speeches or attempts to do so. Rather than simply repeat your words, how about posting up something for me to read and think about that proves your point. Please, no videos from talking heads, especially people like Jimmy Dore or Kyle Kulinski. If you post stuff from a highly biased site, I'll laugh at you for sure. But, if what you say is true there must be something based upon facts and events that helps me understand and I'm willing to read it with an open mind.
