sweet cheers dude ill be sure to double check everything before powering up. im slowly making the change to LED . ill eventually fully switch to LED. My other half is gonna kill me spending all this money on the GW haha
Same. My ol lady doesnt really like when I spend a bunch of money on leds. Shes like really more strips. Why dont you use the strips you have. I'm like you know those extra. And to build other lights. I said how many times have a built a light for someone else. And have to wait on parts to be shipped to me. This way if I need 6 strips for small light build I have them already. And I jus replace the stock I have. I counted them last night. I have about 291 strips total in my garage still in the boxes they came in. Never opened.

haha well in saying that i bought a QB135 off alibaba a few months ago and havent used it yet lol its going in my CBD tent
Lol. When the strips first came out. They were cheap. No one was using them. I got f series gen 3s for under 7 or 8 bucks a piece. Something like I cant remember, then I also get another 38% off of that. So I bought shit ton.

If you sell them it’s like buying futures in the stock market, they go for the current rate right?!
Even if they don’t go up any more that’s a great investment either way! I don’t see the tariff situation rectifying in the immediate future either.

I got some bridgelux strips on the way, I can’t get over how cheap they are compared to the Samsung. 6, 4 foot strips and a hlg320 1050b Just in case the pucks need a bit extra footprint. I’m just nervous about switching to led, but I’m not getting the hps ballast out again. So far I’m impressed with the pucks though, my fears might’ve been unjustified!

I will nvr use hid of any kind ever again. My yield went up, costs per run went way down. And the trich production went way up.

I think I may throw these LM301b 2700k strips on with the 16 Bridgelux Eb Series Gen 2s. Since they are 3500k. These should throw some extra reds in on the spectrum side of these. 4 strips 22.5vdc @750-850mA give or take. Just under 100w. So lookn at roughly 600w total if need be. It's an old driver I had laying around. 90-95vdc output. So I wired them in series. Lol. Why not.....

I’m feeling it! I just have major buyers remorse from the indagro, but that started immediately after purchase for that because they came out with enhanced spectrum and a “pontoon” fix right after I purchased. At that time led was hit and miss. Think of how much strip lighting you can put up for $1400. :(

Back when leds first came out. I bought almost 3 grand worth of paper weights. I was super pissed. They have came along ways since then.

sweet cheers dude. cant wait to get it built and up and running
That's a POWERFUL amount of light for a 32" x 32" tent!
posters-burning-trees-in-the-forest.jpg

It's always better to have a bit of extra power tho......... :D
As @whytewidow was sayn, make sure n dimm it down.
I've one of those tents with 5x samsung double strips on a 240h driver ~ 275 wall watts.
It only needs 200 - 220 watts.
Although this time around I just used a par meter to get the umols I wanted over the canopy.
Good luck with your build mate. You'll be blinded by the light.

No you're good the a type dims, but the a type just gives you a little bump if needed over the b type. The pot is built in the driver. You did right. Depending on how big your plants are you may need to dim at first then ramp up as you flower.

Edit: and actually you're right at 45w per sqft. That's damn near perfect.

You can always manually dim too! Use adjustable hangars and raise the light, thus diffusing it. :)

I absolutely love how people really get into the spirit of efficiency! It warms my heart ang gives me hope for the future!
