Sucks about the nanners, but really the plants look lovely. The way they were trained into such dense bushes has likely spread the yield from large colas, into smaller dense nugs. You might actually find that you got a decent amount once your done. The nugs look like lovely frosty chunks though!
Like diggs said having a harvest is a great step one, and you have a healthy harvest which is huge!!!
Different genetics, and/or different training are things you can play with as you continue and learn more about the way these plants grow.
I also suggest playing with different trimming and drying techniques. I've tried a bunch of experiments over the years to get me to what works best for me. I find wet trimming way easier, but usually dry trimming gives me a much better flavor. Which created my happy medium of removing all the leaves with visible stems(only leaving the sugary bud leaves) and usually I break down the branches into manageable buds and then dry on a screen in an area with air flow, but not air blowing on the buds. Usually it takes 6-8 days for the buds to feel "crispy" on the outside, but I can tell they are still damp inside. I take them and put them into a brown paper bag and give it a little shake, and then let them sit till the next day when I open the bag stir them around and check on them, and then close it up again. Usually within about 2-3 days the buds are perfectly dried and have balanced humidty so they smoke great and taste awesome. At this point they are ready for jars or bags for storage. I've NEVER had mold in a jar.
