Hello led users
I'm an hid guy
Currently i veg under a 400mh
Flower under a 1000hps
I am seriously considering switching over to the dark side and ordering 2 of these es300's

My grow space is roughly 5x5.
I have an ac unit in the wall
6 in line fan/filter combo

Dehumidifier on the way a few other tax time buys you know what I mean lol
I digress
I follow mr.canuck on the tube and he gets awesome results from two of these lights
Before I go drop 1,300 on 2 lights I want to know if anyone else has experience with these.
Building a light is out of the question.
I'm mechanically retarded.
So I can't order drivers n heat sinks and wires, they will just sit in a box.
I don't mind to pay for work as long as its quality work. So I'll pay the prices for quality. But with led I've always seen so many rip offs im sketched out to be one of the victims when i already KNOW what I can pull feom my 1k

My reason for wanting to switch is 2fold.

1 I've never grown under led and want to

2 where I live heat and humidity are insane! i live in the south and its muggy even at night. Which is hella bad for me as my lights are out during the day then on at night to help combat heat

I'm long winded and buzzed trying to give as much info as possible to get informed replies.

In my opinion, based on what I can see on paper, these are not terrible. Most of the regular posters in here are builders, and may very well offer a contrary opinion. Since building is not an option for you, your LED options become limited to few choices.
After running a search, few mentions of these particular lamps we're found.
Based on what I use, if in fact they consume 300w per fixture, that's in the ballpark for decent output for 8-10 square feet....

Form factor might be an issue. How long are they? Any shorter than 3 feet and you will probably have poor light levels in corners and sides. Id say theyre designed for a 4x2 or 2 for a 4x4.

Agree, prob not the worst option to buy. I like they tweak the spectrum a bit, prob similar to adding 90 cri.

The HLGs will out flower those electric skys by atleast 15% per fixture, I have one. It's great light. For single plants scrogged. Even in a tent their par isnt even close. It drops off way faster. And the corners are absolutely horrible. But itll veg the fuck outta plants.

Just echoing what most everyone else has said... They are decent lights. Mr. Canucks Grow on YouTube has some videos about his experience with the Electric Sky lights. The HLG lights are really attractive right now given the diodes they use. Plus, it will cost you $1400 USD for the Electric Sky units, which are rectangle and not well suited for a square grow space, but for less than 1000 you can get an HLG 550, which should be perfect for that space. Check with @Stephenj37826 to see if they have any coupons or anything. They usually have like a 5% off coupon.

I ended up opting for the ES300. While I'm still in my first grow with it, I will say that it is solidly built, puts out a TON of light, and runs very cool. In fact, my biggest issue is keeping the room warm enough. The sweet spot (or at least the point where the plants seem the happiest) seems to be in the 83-85F range. With my brief experience so far and assuming good long-term reliability, I have zero regrets about my purchase. I have a grow journal going right now with it...

I like hlg but 1 550 will not properly cover a 5x5 it's more of a 4x4 light I don't think Stephen or Robin would argue that you need over 600w to properly cover a 5x5

I was assuming you aren’t using the full space as most people have space for getting to back plants. If you are using every inch of space, I would get two of the 300 kits at a minimum.

I would be concerned about the details there... they don't appear to be accurate. Samsung lm301b diodes don't come in a 95 cri bin and 7.18 amps at 110 volts is 789.8 watts, not 880.

I would try to get some details about the drivers they are actually using.
