It's perfectly normal to ask "why?" and look for answers - especially in a much safer part of the world where this is far from commonplace. When shit goes sideways in growing, don't you look for a reason and try to fix it? There's such a thing as 'fanning the flames' - which is a common thread woven into the Quebec mosque gunman, the murdered Maryland journalists, and the asshole in New Zealand, in that they found inspiration from the propaganda being spewed upon your country. You're not in a bubble. The world is watching. And it's not a good look.

I get your concern. I'm just asking. Do you fear a car accident when you are in a moving automobile? Being attacked by a man in a burqa is a very remote possibility compared to an auto accident or some other more common event.

It's not uncommon for people to fear the unlikely and disregard the more common hazards. This is what I meant by my asking if your concern was bigotry or unreasonable fear. Both would explain it.

It would be unimportant if your attitude weren't common AND caused hardship on others but both are true. Whatever the reason for your fear, it's misplaced and that's a fact.
