Megacrop

No problems from adding a couple organic fertilizers to the primarily chemical make-up of the rest of the mix?

Definitely noticing a lack of density in my buds, and to me, this brings me back to thoughts I've had and comments I've made on the mix being too high in Potassium and not high enough in Phosphorus.
The phosphorus and Potassium ratio might be alright. It might be too high in Just nitrogen. All the micro are chelated with aminos on top of the added amino acids. That’s a lot of Nitrogen right there. There were talks about mc switch to edta micros and that that could help reduce the N content. My fert I always used was H&G. They have very phosphorus and high Potassium but the nitrogen levels are lower too.

This megacrop thread is popping, the other one in the nutrient section is lacking. Anyways is has anyone experience with airy buds or foxtailing when using megacrop? I'm noticing airy buds on strains that should be denser. It's still early on but it seems that the buds aren't filling like they used to when I was running another line. I just read there might too nitrogen for flower that could be causing it.
iam not seeing it mine look normal 5 weeks in..i started getting cal-mag problems just scopping off the top of the bag.i put in a tub and now good shake before dipping problem gone

Right I think it’s too much nitrogen. I have a variety of strains that I grow and all of them are responding differently to where I had consistency when running a different brand. I got one strain, that I posted, that just isn’t filling out. One that is foxtailing and not filling out and one that is super chunky but the lower nugs on the cola are growing above the top. So basically foxtailing from below. And yet a couple strains that are loving it and looking well.
I tried going 3\4 scoop early flower the bottom yellowed up in less than a week?so not to much for early flower

I got some rust spots on a couple plants but I did notice those white perlite looking things are the cal mag. They definitely sit at the bottom. I'll take some pics tomorrow of both good and bad looking plants. I posted one strain of a top cola onthe other megacrop thread that made me to start digging around.

It looks like white shards, they are crispy and it's not clear how much should be in each scoop. I think they probably chose this method because they are assuredly dissolving first (avoiding lockout), but it's a source of anxiety to not know if the balance in each scoop is right.

I'll look later too see what I'm using right now..thanks..let's keep talking. Looking forward to some other opinions as well.
I agree nitrogen doesn't seem to need to be increased in flower.
What say yeh guys?
Two studies from the University of Guelph on fertilizer rates on cannabis in veg/flower seem to show the limits of nitrogen fertilization return in cannabis.

Increasing N decreases potency (21% to 16%), while the total THC and biomass of flower yield increased with more nitrogen.

In nature there are microbes, plants, animals, funguses, etc that break down matter and atmosphere to usable nitrogen, so a plant is never truly without...

Dump it all into a container and crush to a fine powder and give it all a good mixing.

I haven't noticed MC making my strains airy, but I add CalMag from day 1 (calimagic or dynagrow) and PK from about week 4 of flower. My nugs have been really hard.

Hell Ya. +1 for GH CaliMagic!
I'm surprised you don't start bud explosion sooner than week 4. I'd start mid of week 2.
