hahah thanks for the reply, I just wrote on the Canadian megacrop section too. That thread is doing great. Have you noticed anything that I described like airy buds, foxtailing, etc., from using megacrop?Yes that was talked about ...just not sure where. May have been the deleted Mega Crop thread. ....boooo....booooooo RIU
I do not think it was this thread. I just looked back a ways and apparently the MC thread is missing in action. Interesting. Might want to contact @HydroRed he has worked with MC for a good while. Was it this thread where you seen that discussion about too much N? After reading your post it might be the reason I'm experiencing these airy buds.
I wonder if Greenleaf had it removed?Yes that was talked about ...just not sure where. May have been the deleted Mega Crop thread. ....boooo....booooooo RIU
Riu deleted it. Shame as it was full of info. Glad I read it first before it went poof.I wonder if Greenleaf had it removed?
I guess Greenleaf was not a sponsor on RIU. Glad i read it as well.@hippy what have you noticed on the new formula? Someone previously posted that they just added more cal-mag to it. Is that what you are seeing? So far ( 3 grows) i am enjoying the dry mix MC the liquids can be messy at times. Only thing i do not like about it so far is the powder seems to separate from the little balls of fertilizer. I just roughly add equal amounts of both powder and balls to make up the weight i need.Riu deleted it. Shame as it was full of info. Glad I read it first before it went poof.
Make a concentrate and you don't have to worry about the powder/balls ratio.I guess Greenleaf was not a sponsor on RIU. Glad i read it as well.@hippy what have you noticed on the new formula? I am not sure i understand what you mean. Can you explain further?Make a concentrate and you don't have to worry about the powder/balls ratio.
I think he means to mix it with water and then add the mixed solution to your reservoir.I am not sure i understand what you mean. Can you explain further?
I mix in 1 gal jugs for a drain to waste system. Just not sure i understand how that solves the separation of the MC. I stored a large bag in a 5 gal bucket and after setting for a while the powder seems to separate itself from the balls. I am dealing with it just seems weird.I think he means to mix it with water and then add the mixed solution to your reservoir.
Maybe by mixing it all, it won't separate. Those perlite looking things are calmag correct?I mix in 1 gal jugs for a drain to waste system. I don't have a meter to test, I just started growing so I'm still learning a lot. I was just following the directions on the bag of MC and since my plant appears to be flowering I slowly moved up to 6g/gal. Everything appeared fine until about 2 days ago I noticed the leaves appear slight yellow. I just took a photo, the middle leaf appears fine but the other 3 are looking yellowish.I wouldn't think so. I rarely go over 4 gr in my mixing but i usually have something else in there. Almost always have additional cal- mag in the mix( LED lighting). I know it sounds crazy but what you are describing sounds like it did not get enough nitrogen during early flower. I know Greenleaf has been very good about answering e-mails from me about questions i had about there product. I kinda wish Greenleaf would step in here and explain why they changed the formula and exactly what they did to it. I did here talk a while back about MC having to much nitrogen for the flower cycle. I have not experienced any nitrogen issues but i am always on the low side of mixing because of other additives. Just out of curiosity what kind of PPM reading are you getting with the 6 gr mix
I am not sure myself what they are @kingzt . I asked greenleaf about it . They only said that they are 2 different products(powder, balls).Maybe by mixing it all, it won't separate. Those perlite looking things are calmag correct?
@BostonBuds, There a lot of questions that would have to be answered. I know its hard when you are starting out but that's just putting in your dues. I would recommend reposting in the general grow thread. I wish i would have come to RIU when i first started growing. It sure would have shaved off a lot of the learning curve. So you will find a wealth of good and generous growers more than willing to share information. There is a bunch of them in the seed and strain thread. I usually hang in the greenpoint, Cannaventure, capulator etc. My guess without much info would be possibly over feedingI don't have a meter to test, I just started growing so I'm still learning a lot. I order the smaller sizes so I dump the contents in a gallon jug of RO, let it disolve, shake, then measure out ~75ml of the concentrate to a gal of RO = 1.5-1.6 ECI am not sure i understand what you mean. Can you explain further?
Okay now understand what you are saying. Any problem storing the concentrate like mold inside the jug or anything. I have like a 5 gal bucket full of MC. They had the large bags on sale a while back. I could dump from one bucket to the other several times but that stuff is pretty dustyI order the smaller sizes so I dump the contents in a gallon jug of RO, let it disolve, shake, then measure out ~75ml of the concentrate to a gal of RO = 1.5-1.6 EC
They were sponsor. The thread was created while they were a paid advertiser here. I think the other nute guys wanted it gone. So I think Greenleaf left.I guess Greenleaf was not a sponsor on RIU.
