I’m going to be setting up a grow in closet that has a 2 foot x 5 foot space. Can anyone suggest efficient quantum board kit or other led light to use ? Thank you for your time !

Because of the length of the space, I would like to use a fixture at least 44" long for some uniformity. I have used cobs and F-strips on an array I built and they work well. Plenty of info in this section.

I'd even go with just a few bad Ass, high power 4ft (44") Samsung Hinflux Strips on an hlg320/480-48A.

They're $50 a piece but they also throw down 17,000 lumens. So use those or 2' Samsungs and use more of them.

These are actually a cheaper route with more lumens for your money. I would use
14-16 of them.

Or of course follow the guides from ledgardener.

Those cree strips from Cutter are a really good buy, they are lower in efficiency than Nichia or Samsung's but at the price point you can run double the amount of them.

Or just use 6 per 2X4 and blast out the 1.2MA through em all for 350watts.
X2. I don't think you can do it any cheaper than with these and the LRS-350-48. I honestly don't mind the 89% vs. 93% efficiency of the HLG driver. It's such a cheaper driver and a good option IF you're going to remotely mount your drivers outside a tent or somewhere outside a room.

12 strips: $111
2 lrs-350: $70
12Aluminum angle 3/4"X1/8"X22": $50
Full 4X4 in a 2 fixture setup, for $230. Can't beat it.

I would use 12 of them to cover that area, that way you could lower them an extra inch to gain more hitting the plants
If you're looking for the lowest cost though, 6 and 6 would work. 12 total for the 4X4. You mean 24 total?
You're banging 108,000 frickn lumens out just with the 12!

I mean 12 to cover 2x4. This would give near perfect coverage and you can run them lower to make them last longer
I guess you'd save the 50 or however much in heatsinks. I'd need to actually see what the order for u channel would cost.
But that amount towards another $100 as you'd get a bit of a price drop would be a decent trade off. Absolutely would be a much less heavy fixture without the u channel.

Edit:
6Pcs: 3/4"X3/4"X1/8"X48" c channel, cut em in half with a hack saw and boom 12.
4.95 a piece, so only $30+10 shipping.

$40.

Any recommendations on any that are just plug in play ? I am diggin thE strips I could definitely put together a rack to put them on but I would prefer if I didn’t have to put together anything. If there are not any alternatives I guess I could get down with building a light. Especially if the folks on here were able to tell me what parts to buy together an stuff !! Thanks for all the help so far I’m very grateful

How many of them can I hook up to a driver ? How do I figure out what I can hook up to what driver and if it needs to be heatsinked ? What is heatsinking again?

I think you will be best served by some 4 foot strips and a 2 foot strip across for a 2x5, or even one each side to be able to control the eveness light coverage in the edges which allways suffer in this kind of build.

Or 3 quantum board singe boards and killing it.
