What causes trichomes to disappear?

i went from having some frost now it's like there is none anymore. im not entirely sure what causes this but i have 2 things going on that i can try and pin point it to but not sure which is the biggest culprit.

1. heat - temps are at 80-83F there is NO possible way for me to drop the temps. i mean i can but at a heavy cost which i can't do right now.

2. i've stopped feeding my plants for the most part and just been leeching the soil for about 2-3 weeks now. the buds are no where near finished they got at least 1-3 more weeks imo to go. still lots of white pistils and i have to check trichomes but i can bet most of the trichomes are still clear

Why did you stop feed two or three weeks ago, when you have one or three more weeks left in your opinion? Also, what lights and what hight? Maybe you fried them off or the tric gnome has not stopped by yet.

i stopped feeding cause i am a noob when it comes to flowering ( more so compared to veg i mean ) last harvest i fucked up and my buds taste like shit so i figured i stop feeding leech out the soil so it doesn't taste super bad. all the smell is pretty much gone as well from my last batch.

Why are you 'leeching' the soil 5 to 6 weeks before they're even finished? Your trichomes are at the bottom of all that leeching friend. Good luck.

what i meant was they looked frosty to me but now i don't really see any frost at all i'll try to take some pics when lights come off and check personally so we have a comparison i already have one from previously with the lights off.

Did you smoke them. When I roll a fat one 9/10 times the trichs disappear along with the rest of the bud it's madness and 1/10 times I'm still stoned from the last spliff I forgot to light the one in my hand.

It's a crazy world we live in.

i think the darkness makes them seem more frosty compared to when lights are on. im not used to seeing much frost but i was thinking maybe the trichomes all matured and ended up dying off or getting blown away or some shit by fans
