Ya someone earlier was saying that they saw little white balls of the CalMag in their MegaCrop itself. I'm curious if their CalMag really is just that stuff bagged up.
I use so much at once i don't really sweat it. It's doing it's job excellently so it must be fine the way it is. Best buds I've ever had. I can say that now. Using it a full 4 months pretty much and couldn't be happier.
Damn, I might have to bite the bullet and just order it. I feel like the 300G free bag wouldn't be enough and I'd end up buying 2,000g and 750g of the bud explosion. That's enough for a few runs anyway.
Give it a shot but my guess is the calcium will start reacting with the rest of the stuff and the moisture in the air and turn some of your MC into insoluble CaCO3. I wouldn't be surprised if the white balls are coated to keep them from reacting with everything else.
Try to stay away from Nitrogen at all.Been trying to find a mix for the CalMG but not sure which Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Nitrate they use.
Megarop CalMag 13-0-0 11% Ca and 3.5% Mg
The stuff I can get locally is
Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0 /19% Ca
Magnesium Nitrate 11-0-0 /9.3% Mg
If you do a 50/50 mix you get 13.25-0-0 with 9.5% Ca and 4.5% Mg
I'm guessing lowering the Megnesium Nitrate a little would bring up the Ca% up a bit and lower the Mg
I did see a 10-0-0 Magnesium Nitrate online too which might work.
Anyone wanna try it if I mix it up
Mix all the powder into a liquid concentrate and all you have to do is shake, measure, add. No worries about the right mix of powder.
Won't some of the chemical fall out of solution eventually if the person doesn't use the mix for a while?

The way the outlet on the reservoir is positioned and comes with a pre filter it shouldn't let anything in. You could always wrap the filter with a leg stocking to filter it more. Here are a couple of photos of the ones I used as a demo.
