Now lets shift over to the Ghost Cake for a minute because all three phenos are amazing. Pheno #1 (which was photographed a lot on this thread) was ready to be trimmed up after 10 days of hanging. The bag appeal and smell is just off the charts, she's SO trich rich and so overpowering and strong smelling. The calyx to leaf ratio was phenomenal and it made trimming a breeze. Honestly, one of the best strains I've ever grown. I smoked a few bowls out of the bong over the weekend and she got me ripped, very ripped.

The nose is completely OG/ghost on this pheno. Reminds me of gas and rubber, a lot like the OGK #18 from Reserva Privada from back in the day. Where this strain wins is from the black forest cake. It seems the BFC just brings the frost up another level and really keeps the leaf ratio down. It also seems to keep the stretch in check too. I don't have access to a lab, but I'm confident she'd test 25%+.

Smokebros where can I buy Ghost Cake please? I'm in San Jose, and there are so many crappy strains by big name nurseries here. "Snoop Dog says..." Liars ! Crap weed not worth wasting time with, and the State of CA is in on that I suspect... Oooo, best not allow the really good strains; as that may cause them to use less...
Oh please advise where can I buy seed or clone?

Contact @Dankonomics_genetics directly for the Ghost Cake gear. I'm not sure if it's available because his website shows it as out of stock, but it's worth asking. Basically anything he has is good. Honestly if the Ghost cake is out of stock, try the Black Triangle Cake. The triangle he uses is legit, I just chopped 2 Creme Fraische's (Triangle x Dosido) and they're heavy on the OG, gassy, petrol terps. That Black Triangle Cake has to be rock solid if I were to guess.

The last Creme Fraische (Triangle x Dosido) is really close to being done so tonight the plan is to pull the dripper stakes and put her in a hempy bucket to flush. Same goes for the Crescendo #3, she's just about ready to flush too.

I was looking back at my notes and chuckled a bit, the last time I changed the reservoir in the 4x4 was February 4th, that's 59 days. I've just been doing top-off's every 2-3 days and lettin' it ride. If you look back in my previous grow journals, I was pretty anal about changing out the water every week. Doing so is not that laborious of a job, but still somewhat wasteful considering you're throwing money away down the drain. Just goes to show a couple of salient points...

1. Jacks 321 is legit. Full strength from start to finish. It's stable and consistent, but more importantly it only costs 3 cents per gallon to run.

2. Orca & Mammoth P are legit. Orca is the best beneficial microbe on the market because it's completely water soluble so hydro growers can run it in their reservoir.

3. Carefree Enzymes 95562 Pond & Fountain Protector is also legit. Ditch the cannazyme / hygrozyme and replace it with this for your root enzymes. One tablespoon treats 100 gallons, so I only need to use 3ML in my 20 gallon reservoir. When topping off I just add 2 drops.

Alright, time to go burn one.

Of the strains above, next in line is the (Triangle Kush x Black Forest Cake) x Stardawg from @Dankonomics_genetics . I told him a while back that I'd test them, and I'm true to my word. I'll run the Rainbow Belts from Archive along side it. It'll be my first time running any Archive gear so lets see how it goes.

Once this round is finished I'll do a reset before I start anything. As of now it's looking like the middle/end of May when I'll get those beans going. I could shift a few plants around and just start them now, but it's already been two consecutive harvests without a reset and I don't want to push my luck with summer approaching.

I've been very fortunate at avoiding mildew and pests so far, but this last cycle made me a bit nervous. When that 4x4 was plump full with 17 plants, the humidity was getting near 70%. It dropped during the day, usually to around 45-55%, but that swing alone can wreak havoc and cause PM. I think 10% more humidity and I would've had a problem on my hands. I guess what I'm trying to say is (do it right the first time) :bigjoint:.

Alright, time to pack up a bong ripper of this ghost cake. bongsmilie

Honest really is honest, and fast too. Got some Scarlet Johansson, Grape Gobstoppers, and Casino Royale. Extra he threw in Purple Frosting. Way more seeds than any club ever offered, which mostly do not spout, and tend to have few good strains. I hope Ghost Cake is as good as you make Ghost Cake sound. Black Triangle Cake noted. All I have learned is the proof is in the taste and the stone. Also the ability to duplicate the results from same cuts. Can't tell nothin' till its fully cured, no matter how good it looks.

Your brew list is quite extensive. You are blessed with space it seems. Please rank your favorite strains for potency first, and taste comment second if you have time. For a long time I was buying this super hash tasting on the exhale weed I dubbed "Exhale", but it was said to be Louis the XIV. It was delicious. 20 years ago I was growing a southeast Asian seed from bag o weed that had occasional herme' seeds. That stuff would lock onto your brain cells and you could feel it like "Oh ya, so good!". Same exact cuts next time might turn out like shit and taste like shit too. Was a super hot stuffy closet. Never dialed what environmental variables drive high potency besides common sense stuff like PH and NPK and keeping lights close and cutting off entire bottom below 12" canopy. Cuz not into extracting the cheesy lower buds really. Once in 1982 I got a bag 1/2 once of absolutely real Maui Wowi. It was super pale green, no bud bigger than your pinky fingernail, kinda lose buds, so skunky glass could not stop it, and a stone that stayed like you just smoked it for over 3.5 hours. Your eyes would turn completely Chinese, even with Visine (Clear Eyes is best i say). It is the memory that drives my heel.

Thanks for status on those. Please advise me Kind Sir about this; I cannot feel the stone anymore of almost every strain. I can fell the relaxation, but never the desired stone. Maybe I smoke too much and am saturated. Maybe I'm not taking as deep lung hits as I used to. Maybe my weed or results just suck. I did notice more light, closer to a shallower canopy and perfect PH and NPK and breathable soil all help to make the plants as healthy as possible, and some say after this, and harvesting when 15-20% of the Tric's are browned, it is all up to the genetics.

What do you say Kind Sir. Are there things that can be done during the grow that will maximize potency beyond what I have mentioned? I ask because I once had exact same cuts results vary from mind locking super-powerful stone and outstanding flavor, to tastes like shit and is shit, and then next batch exact same cuts super good and tasty again.

For custom soil mix of 1/3 each: Natural and organic potting soil / PRO-MIX Growing Medium (Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss w Vermiculite) / Vermiculite.
Feeding every watering 1/8 tsp Miracle Grow Tomato Plant Food (the pink stuff) per Gallon RO H2O, every 2 days. 1 Gallon each for plenty enough to flush each 1.75 Gal pot, PH dialed to 6.6 per the heavy peat moss demands it. The roots and leaves love it.

Using Cree COB's spaced 6" apart one way and 8" apart the other way. 4 COB's per 6"w x 22" long heat sink, x 6 heat sinks, for 32 COB's using 3 drivers.

Yes, very good fresh air flow when lights are on, and pretty good when lights are off. I could rebuild the heat sink frames to get 6" x 6" COB spacing, or try some other wavelengths in the 2" between 6" wide heat sinks as they are.
Please advise what to do to maximize potency. Thank you
