A few pages back there's a pic of my whole set-up. I had a 3x3 standard closet and a small veg tent. I framed in the 4x3 nook next to the closet and made it a room as well. But to be honest I hate the crowding and the shuffling. Eventually I will just have 4 plants going at one time, each a month apart, 2 in veg, 2 in flower - each probably a manifold.

That's pretty much how i am doing it 2 and 2... i LST though.. but manifolding is so much prettier :)

From what I have seen it also produces better with less effort in the long run. I think on this one I am just going to let those 4 sprouts keep going. I may have to prune a node or two to get her trained, but then I just want to let 4 Christmas trees grow and see what happens.

The Northern Lights manifold is 33 days from getting wet. In another month I think she'll be plenty big enough to flip - so that sits well with the rotation plan.

But 3 new strains showing up in a few weeks, and my dumb ass is going to plant one of each regardless LOL

Yeah.. this is my first grow.. so LST was a bit of learning.. i need to read up on manifolding so i don't wreck a plant or 2..

yeah.. i don't like weed enough to bother growing more plants than 2 at a time :) I am enjoying growing more than smoking at this point.

The Bruce Banner is a 80/20 sativa dominant, and I haven't grown a sativa yet. so it gets wet.
The Skywalker OG is 80/20 Indica, but it just looks AMAZING, and I was thinking about purchasing that by itself until I saw the mix-pack that had it.
The Black Widow also looked cool, 65/35 Indica, but with a black pheno.

Anyway, I want one of each so I'll probably end up with a 3-gallon manifold of each. I love growing AND smoking/edibles, but it's mostly for me so I don't need the bulk. I think 4 huge cola averaging 2-3oz per month is way more than I need - so PERFECT! LOL

What do you mean by it gets wet? And indica to me is the devil.. i smoke any indica and i'm sleeping in 5 minutes it might as well be a roofie. I love my sativas though :) I almost thought of doing like 4 1-3 gallons instead of 2 5's. but just seems that if i can fill the space with 2 why do the extra work of 4... unless i wanted to try different strains of course..

Note: I had to move the buds from that mesh rack to a regular net rack. I used it in the past with no problem, but that was after plants hanging for a few days and getting tougher. It was flat-spotting the heavy ones very noticeably.

The day I get the seed wet (or snip a clone) and the clock starts.

With these QBs and the manifolds, I have averaged one-ounce per pot-gallon of cured bud, not counting larf/trim/hash/whatnot. I have pulled 4-6 from a 5 gallon pot, steady 3's from the 3 gallons, and just got what should be 2+ from a 2 gallon.


Notes from an old man...
The 3 gallon pots are MUCH easier to mess with. A fully soaked pot will weigh about 12-15lbs, instead of 25-30.
It takes less water and nutes each feeding and processes it quicker - doesn't take as long between feeds.
The pots are skinnier too, more room.​
You don't need 10 gallons to do a flush ;)
One transplant from the solo-cup. You can do that in a 5 gallon, but for a rotation it takes way too long to get the roots established, or you are doing multiple transplants which also slow growth.

I am going to see what these 2 gallons for the contest do, but I think the key word will be "root-bound" so I'm flipping them early.

Like my page says, I just grow stuff in dirt. I like experimenting, but not with that part of it. Too expensive to change systems, and I'd rather just do one thing and get good at it. My 4 skunk are testing out 4 different nute systems though, and hopefully one will say "Hey! Pick ME!" and I have that part decided as well.

On a different note, since I just grow for me, big buds don't impress myself ;) Once you break it down it's just a collection of nugs. As they dry and separate, I go ahead and snip th lower nugs off and "re-classify" them. I keep buds, nugs, and larf separate on the racks since they dry at different rates. I just never want to have to trash a crop because of mold or rot.

Actually.. going to coir is cheaper than soil.. i'm using the same nutes.. and the coir is cheaper to buy than soil.. I am mainly doing it to test out how it goes compared to my soil ones.. they were in veg for about 80 days... guys show shit in coir around the same as mine in 60 days or less.. and they claim it's mostly the better aeration of roots and better nute uptake..

I am expecting it to go badly.. time will tell :)

Evening update. Only thing of note is that I don't think harvesting this one at the end of the month will be a problem. Ever see the bottoms brown before the tops?
