Well i thought you let clones veg for a few weeks then put them into flowering..only way to pull faster than that would to put clones straight into 12/12 and wouldnt that effect yield drastically
No, a perpetual set up will have clones vegging in one space, clones rooting in another getting ready for veg.
Flowering area where you can have flowering plants at various stages.

My old one before I switched to LED, I had 3x 600w hps in a 4x8 tent and a 4x4 veg tent, the flower tent was staggered in 3 batches of 4 plants. An 8 week strain , normally taking 9 weeks, so divide that by how many stages of flowering plants, pretty much a crop every 3 weeks not including drying time. A pound or just less every 3 weeks. That was with my hps and I wasn't fussy about filling my space, easy to get more than that.

Edit, when I changed to LED I changed my set up and cut down to 2 crops in my flower tent but 7 weeks veg. Increased yield to 2lb per 5 week. But you have to be ahead of yourself in veg with lots of clones to spare and have plants potted up vegging while having clones vegging in smaller pots.

Bra ha ha ha. Thanks exactly what I did, kind of. Bought a cheap 1000 LED 180w after the LED posts on this site blew the top of my head off! Oh well!
Yeah it catches out many folks, easy done man! Especially on amazon.
You know its never to late to learn about DIY led, especially now folks are using strips instead of COBs, its really easy and getting cheaper all the time to build a solid performing light.
LEDgardener or growmau5 have all the info you need. But its as simple as reading data sheets on drivers and strips and matching them up.

Make sure you do your research if your going LED. 95% of lights on the market are pieces of shit.
Stay clear of anything labelled high wattage that uses low wattage, for example "1000w grow LED" that uses 180w.
Its false economy buying crap and it only looks cheaper when you don't realise you need like 4 of them to actually do the job.

CMH is also a good route to go down if your trying to save a bit of power consumption.
HPS is the cheapest route to set up and works well.

Perpetual growing takes experice to perfect your timings but you should be able to cut those times down considerably.
Thanks for the advice before i buy any lights ill come here for suggestions also do you feel my goal is possible or im reaching for the stars lol,ive been doing research for years so i know its not ezpz and i know it isnt extremely hard as well.

@corywebster , thank you. I am too old too learn new tricks.
When the Hydro stores dump their HPS lighting and replace them with ready made COBs... I may change my mind. If I am still around!! :-)

@YoungGrowLegend , thank you for this post!! I just maybe learnt a thing or two!

Well put it this way, with a 8x4 flower space, a 4x4 veg tent, I can and did grow 20lb a year.
So yeah I think you will achieve your goals.
Just know it takes time to perfect your methods and like Renfro mentioned it has drawbacks, or at least perpetual with one flower area does, bugs are harder to get rid of, herms can ruin 3 crops (or whatever you have staggered) Sometimes you have to reset and get rid of everything and it takes time to get things back in full swing.
But there is nothing to say you have to run one dedicated flower area, depending on room size you could run say 3x 5x5 tents and run a crop from beginning to end in each tent, mitigating risks of infection or infestation and still having a really good performing perpetual grow.

LOL no worries!
There are stores like Timbergrowlights, BCblondes, Horticultural lighting group, ChilLED who sell ready made COB/board/strip Lights ready to hang!! But obviously they are more expensive than DIY.
There are also guys who will do the DIY for you like whytewidow

Anyhow I think you will be happy with CMH, but go for the bigger ones like 630s if your getting rid of 1000w hps.

So much love on these forums man this is really appreciated

They can't get a warrant on power usage alone. So keep odor controlled 100% and never have anything in the trash. Don't be spotted at grow stores.

I know a guy that was spotted buying stuff at a grow store (they would watch those stores in Kansas City). They got his plates and therefore his address. Pulled his utility bills and it was higher than the average in his neighborhood. They found some stems in his trash. With all that they were able to get a warrant.

Yeah they do that here in the UK too. Sneaky fucks. Its one of the many pieces that make the puzzle.. Warrant!
Its even worse here these days, since the misuse of drugs act they can literally rock up without a warrant and claim they can smell weed and walk in to your home and search, not like you can prove they cant smell weed even when you know 100% there is no smell!!

@YoungGrowLegend No the electricity bill was not particularly high, as long as the bill gets paid they are happy to not give a fuck.
Its johhny Law man that causes issues, if they suspect shit they can look into it. But think of all the old ladies living next to their 2000w space heaters 16hours of the day.. Plenty of genuine reasons to have high power use.

LOL
Just personal these days! But my old set up was small in comparison to most.
Go check out Renfro's journal!! That's a man in beast mode!
Yea its small but 20 pounds a year is a drastic change in life for me financially,i could sell 20 pounds in a month and only see 2000 dollars profit because the prices.
Example:i pay 1600 and i got a guy who buys for 1800 but never wants to pay more unless its "worth" it to him.and ill pay 17-18 and charge him 2000 so my profit margin is so small because i dont know any growers.and the same applys to the person whos charging me 1600..they most likely paid 1400 lol.crazy but true

Im just starring with a small goal but its way bigger than that honestly and experience is best teacher.i just refuse to waste time with small closet grows or micro grows,i don't even smoke weed anymore and even as a smoker i would love to see my own work instead of buying random smoke lol
