Just setup my new bigger veg tent :bigjoint:
Old tent was 60x100x60 new one is 50x100x180 (DxWxH) so I've split it in 4 trays and made over 3x the space in the same footprint :)
Now I will have space to keep clones :hump:

New light setup is now

2x 185h-c700a
16x Bridbelux EB Gen2 5000k 560mm
8x Bridbelux EB Gen2 5000k 280mm

Don't think they make it anymore as I recently wanted to get the same for a friend and couldnt find it.





Watercooled fixture went out and new light setup came in.

10x FB24B 3000K strips on 2x 480H-48b drivers.
Same power (~960W accouting for driver losses) with better spread. No extra pumps required and all heat stays in the tent. Simplier system means less of a chance of brakedowns.

And some smaller improvements to the system. Smaller drippers with one extra dripper per pot so I will be able to water more than 3 times a day (1min timer limitation).

...and new mixer in nutrient tank instead of two small pumps. A bit overkill but hey... I like overkill :mrgreen:

I did experiment this round and didn't do defoliation. It was visible that in this setup, where canopy isnt that thick (~30-40cm max) , light can penetrate all of it and defoliation isnt necessary other than some odd leaf plucking.

Pure coco worked better than coco+biochar, but mix was heavy so i might try it out again at some stage.

Drip clean + Megacrop + CalMag (canna) is causing nutes to separate. Will stop using drip clean and only do cleaning after each round. Instead of liquid calmag I will go back to using Epsom only. I think plants reacted better to Mg+Sulfur only.

As you can see plants look the same but root mass is highest at the top level. I'll swap top and bottom tray.
Will flip them in few days.

Veg tent at this min. I couldn't throw out perfectly healthy plants :/

Thanks Lukio. They were giving mi slight deficiencies at the start so I had to foliar epsom salt.
Now they seem happy. Heavy feeders EC1.57 .
That's for 40g epsom and 180g MC per 150L tank. Mycorr Max from TNT when repotting + Bactorr from them every two weeks I feed by hand.
Might be able to drop EC a bit when I start feeding more then 1x a day. I'll be increasing feeds now, so when they finish stretch they should be getting 5x a day. By that time they should be able to take whatever you throw at them, but without a clone I won't be able to pin point it with x18 plants and few different phenos from seed.

Are You still on it MC ?
How many strains are You rocking now man ? And how do You manage with the nutrients between all of them ? More then one tank ?

Yo yeah 1.57ec, they are hungry! Yep im still on MC - got a bag of their new formula but havent opened it yet.

Im on 0.85ec..mad huh! i add 80ppm of mag but i filter my water to 0ppm first. my mate uses tap water and adds nothing, first grow an absolutely killing it!

Not sure how many strains...ummm flowering 6ish but have 12ish in the stable...something like that. need to cull a few but its hard..

i feed em all the same at the mo and they seem ok. monocrop would be ideal though...im gonna try and keep 1 strain per tent/rez in the future...been saying that a while!

I have to measure next time how high EC is for MC only. I know that Epsom in the water can rise that a good bit. W hich Mg do You run?

6 strains, on one res, wow.... I feel silly now with having ANYANY probl on one strain :???:

my secret is to spend 20 mins pulling the shitty bits off before getting the mega cheaty posh camera out ;)

Tap water only.
Sometimes I see nute selaration in the res. Do You see anything like this in Yours ? I'll try to take a pic tomorrow.

We got Bactorr but cant say weve seen too much difference. My salad and tomato loved it though. How do you use it? Do you brew it up as a aereated tea? Any idea of what to do to actually see some difference or is it more for when your plants arent happy?

My tam water EC is 0.15 so not much really.

By the separation I mean that some of the nutes fell out of the suspension ( I think thats technical term that I've read somewhere).

Thats how my res looks before and after I stir it.

Can't say for certain as well. I will do more test after I establish good clone base.
I just mix it with water and hand feed it every two weeks.
