LED diy build

Has anyone had experience with invisible sun boards or kits? I'm going to be making a move to LED one day. Those are the ones I'm leaning towards at the moment.
I just checked the site, they have a decent looking light kit for just over £400 I liked

Not necessarily. The QB120 and QB132 are fairly large boards with relatively few diodes, so they can be run at nominal wattage without heat sinks, with performance similar to strip builds.
Can you tell me how close to the plants the lights can get ?. I also thought that the strip lights let off less heat than the boards ? Do you know what temps they run at ? Sorry for hounding you.

You can run QBs just a few inches from the canopy if you dim them some. At nominal wattage, I usually have mine about 18-20 inches above canopy. They could be closer, but I like to have room to tend my scrog. I’ve never seen any burn or damage to plants with QBs, the worst I’ve seen is newly introduced plants drooping at the end of the day when their DLI gets maxed.

I don’t have temp numbers for strips vs boards, but they’re both just diodes on aluminum. If the diodes are the same and the spacing is similar, then I would think the temps would be comparable.

Just a cheap way forward for me with LEDs. Set me back approx $#30.

What do you think? Supplemental LEDs

One appears off... it's not. Just caught it out in mid pulse it seems.
