82-84 Veg and 86 Flower, am I reading this right?

-----

On day 57 (first grow), struggling to keep the temps below 28. Late veg, early flower and mid flower were at 29-32°C.

Also when you guys say 30-31 is fine, do you mean ambient or LST?

Any tips for late flower? Trying to maintain 28 or below, RH is 60-70 lights on and 60-65 lights off. Went from 12/12 to 11/13 a week back and now at 10/14, was getting too hot by the end of lights out.
Can I get some help here, every question doesn't warrant a new thread...

What kindve lights, area, media, ect ect. If youre under white leds 30°c is right where you want to be. Air temp in the tent. Not sure what you mean by lst? Are you asking leaf surface temp if so it should be 2° lower than your actual air temp in the tent

Thanks.

30°C during late flower? I know during Veg with the LEDs it's fine.

Late veg and early bloom was at 150-175W (up to 32°C), been dialling it down as it's been getting hotter. Ambient at canopy gets to 28-29°C by the end of 10 hours (on 10/14).

Quoted your temps and RH as it contradicts what I've read and heard. Doesn't one need to lower the temps in late flower to avoid degradation?

Yes, leaf surface temp is always 1.5-2° lower than ambient (at canopy).

Using two 3000k 80 CRI 560 R2T Boards for a 4.5 x 1.7 ft space. Currently at 90W each. Using Coco + perlite (70/30) and was feeding once a day at lights on, 2 gallons between 3 plants, 25-30% run-off. Been giving only RO water since day 56 from pistils, currently on day 59.

Slow down your air turnover. Let the plants humidify the air. Temperature won't rise so quickly.

You might also extract the air from right above your light, so the hottest air is removed first.
Thats exactly how im set up. Exhaust filter is right above the cobs.

I see your point about air turn over.... hope less frequent venting is enough to build enough humidity...

yes slowing down exhaust works, also adding more plant/ media to the area.....we used pots filled with wet soil to raise RH in the empty spaces. not very precise though, a rh/temp controller helps :)

Well then if you've read different why are you asking. I go by a vpd chart. That tons of people use with success.

I get you're dialling in your humidity and following the chart as per what's ideal for LEDs. Asked because, again from what I've read (first grow), even folks that follow VPD lower the temps from late flower to harvest. Doesn't higher temps lower the THC content and vaporize the smell and flavour.

Again, so you run about 30°C till harvest?

I think so myself. Lower temps, but stay in the VPD range, 75F-49,48,47% RH and i personally like to back off the intensity of the lights also, and last week, use the highest K value you can. If you flush, that is the time to start reducing your PAR, so it dont stress the growth, but slows it down to eat up the sugars in the plant at a nice slow pace till chop. It gets cold in the fall, mimic it if you can.

Different preferences, just like a diet, lol..

look at it like this. In Humboldt County,( Arcata ) where some of the best herb is grown, has an average temp of 67F in Sept, and a average low of of 51F. So, now why does the rule of thumb of Temp is in the high 80'SF.?? in the grow forums?? Because PHOTOSYNTHESIS is best at a higher temp range for PLANTS.

This is again, pointed to my experience of lower temps, and better growth as i pointed out above in this thread. Roots like the coldness, of 67F.

ok, carry on, just ramblin thoughts aloud, lol..

For the last few days it's been 27-28°C and 55-60 RH (lights on) and 50-55 lights out. Dropped to 10/14 as it's getting hotter, had started reaching 29-30 by lights out while they were on 11/13, RH again 55-60 lights on and 50-55 lights off.

Wattage has been going down to maintain the temp, went from 175 (late veg and early flower), 150 (mid flower and a bit of late flower) to 120 about 10 days back and now at 90W.

Didn't flush, started just RO at day 56 (Indica), run-off PPM is down to 120-150.

Get on the internet and you'll read different things, at times completely opposite. Here to learn...would be great if other experienced growers using LEDs could also pitch in with their experience, especially ones running higher temps during flower.

Whats most important is DLI your plant gets, and they get water from time to time basicly. The thing is, in this "hobby", we are looking for the biggest, fattest fkn plants that you can chop down fast, and start the next run. So we throw allllllllllllll this light on them, high ass temps to push water and nutes thru them as fast as possible, because after all, the most expensive thing, is time. Turn over rate, get the next run going. So i think we have evolved into a "Hit it hard and heavy" and get it the heck done with.

Im at 73F-50%RH in my space right now, been like that for 3 days now. they love it
Haha, I haven't been able to get it down to that even at lights out, currently at 75 (lights out), AC is on almost 24/7. Got the AC serviced today and I see a noticeable difference, so for the next week I'm going to try and lower the lights on temp to 25-26 and night by a couple of degrees too. Hopefully the degradation that I think has happened can be built back before the chop.

I presume Your running Cobs?
No, two 560 LM561C LED 3000k boards with HLG-240 drivers.
