I had ordered off of true north seed bank prior to starting the CKS however shipping was such a joke i had time to go down and get them and the others are still on there way 25 days later. I ordered royal queen seeds auto mixed pack and some zkittles Og and got a few auto cheese for free. I can't wait to try the zkittles.Their genetics definitely seem a little wonky from reading other threads as well as my experience. Went with fastbuds green crack for the next
I don't think you can give them too much water if they're drying out inbetween. I'd stick my finger in the soil near-ish the plant to see. Just make sure you always wash your hands before handling your plants.I for sure gave them too much water last feeding as I gave the whole bucket about 1.5 liters but all from the edges of pot so I dont think it did too much harm and let them dry out fully before next feeding.
Is there a good or approximate amount to feed during early weeks with autos in soil... 500mls every two days...250mls...or should i get a soil moisture reader? as i think it is too early to tell by feel of pot as i am not watering whole thing. I have now been watering once every two days with about 300mls about 3-4 inches from plant. Would you still spray lightly closer to plant and rest of top soil or just let the rest be dry.
I have also been running 24hour light as it seemed like less opportunity for error. Are their benefits of 18-6 or 20-4 over 24 hour light for autos.
I did see a tiny bit of green (algie or mold) looked like it was growing in one of my small plastic pots... I could only see a little green on some of the perlite... IDK if it is a issue or just be careful not to over water... That plant is by far the biggest at this point.
So I tried testing the ph again and tap water was at 8.5 still feel like thats high so buying some litmus papers to test to be sure.
I am for sure going to be doing some LST on all of them however i was kinda thinking it could be cool to experiment with lollipoping the small one gallon pots and seeing if I can just get one main cola off of them because there will not be much room once I LST the 4x5 gallon pots. Would you guys experiment like that or just trash the three small 1 gallon pots(trash I mean throw on balcony and just hope for best lmao)
They are all looking great so far but there is one that looks a little mutated could have been the extra water.
Ill post update pictures in a few hours.
I have only given them water so far. I don't plan on feeding until at least week two of flower from what people say. I am considering taking the mutant out of the 5 gallon into a 1 and one of the 1g to the 5. I am just not sure if the stress will be worth it. I have a feeling whoever is in the 5g will produce much more so may be worth it???What did you feed them? Ffof is typically loaded with more than plenty nutes for the first month. As for the mutant. .
Nice, looks like the pots are working out for you. And the plants look like they're at that point where they're about to start growing real fast.Changed the layout a but and they seem very happy. I also lowered the lights to about 22".
The early Miss are def a little wonky genetics. The first two pics are those ladies one has super fat leafed and the other is the mutant with the weird leafs cruriling.
Should I replace with smaller pot happier plant.
Yeah I was kinda hoping it was just the plants getting used to the FFOF. The new leafs coming in on both seem to be a little better already.Nice, looks like the pots are working out for you. And the plants look like they're at that point where they're about to start growing real fast.
My thoughts are that things like this and even your curled leaves are due to stress of some kind, but once the plant is larger it either adapts
It's possible your smaller plants in the big pots are just concentrating on root growth. I had one plant this grow where I messed up the transplant badly and it was way behind for a few weeks but somehow caught back up.
(yet).
Nice, are you watering to saturation yet? I usually just water till runoff then wait till the pots are dry to the first knucle or when I stick my finger in a drain hole, but everyone has a different method that works.Yeah I was kinda hoping it was just the plants getting used to the FFOF. The new leafs coming in on both seem to be a little better already.
At this point when they start growing real fast do you up the water? how significantly? I got myself a soil moisture reader and a soil ph meter in one so i was using this to gage my watering once it gets to about .5 on its moisture scale 1-5
I am loving the size of the 5g i think i could even get one more lady in a 5g in there for my next round... the next round of came seeds just came in and I cant wait!
I started a LST on the biggest lady as she had 4 amazing sites starting.
so quick question... as i agree i will run out of space with all these ladies in there i was wondering how to lollipop and when to start. Also, don't count your chickens before they've hatched regards to space.. pic is 3 plants in a 2x4 at 8 weeks. sorry about the lighting. I grew two autos in this tent once and they filled the space well.
