Hi Diggs,
Nice sprouting results. The coco has essentially no nutrients so get use to providing them with everything. Starting now. The cotyledons won't carry them for very long. At that age I personallu use 1/8 strength nutes. Just something to sink their teetch in. lol And bump it up as they grow. When I say 1/8 this is what I mean. I use Maxi-grow which has a range of 1 to 2 tsp. I never use the 2 tsp dose ever. So 1 tsp per gal and then I dilute it down with phed water till I get the strength I want.

Hey jd thanks for the response bud.

I'm going to be using flora micro and flora bloom at 6/9ml per gallon eventually (h3ad formula)

So I was thinking maybe like .5ml micro and 1ml bloom to get them started. Aswell as 4ml calmag/ gallon.

At what stage are you starting to soak the cups? I'm still just using spray bottle yet. 4-5 times a day now it seems, they drying out the sprayed patches pretty quick

Hey guys, back with more questions lol

When i mix a Gallon of nutes for the babies, i mix it at 5.9 ph, usually get 2 waterings (24 hours) before it drifts outside the 6.2 range

My question, how long can that mix of nutes be used? few days? Can i just keep ph`ing it back in range after 2 days and the nutes still be viable for the plants? or should i be mixing much smaller batches and dumping it out once it drifts outside the 6.2?

Also, when should/could i start giving them amor si? and how do you mix that? ive heard growers adding the silica to water first and letting it sit for an hour or more before adding base nutes and additives and phing?

i hope this makes sense lol

Diggs...that's hydro nutes right? Guys maintain reservoirs for weeks at a time. Just correct as needed. Not sure about rhe Armor Si...usually that stuff causes an upward drift. Careful with dose on the silica. More is definitely not better.

What JohnDee said.
Upward drift is common.
I use .5 ml of Armor Si per Gallon.
Mix order I use....
RO water
------------
Silica
Cal mag
Epsom
Micro (Mega Crop in my case)
Grow
.....
I end up around 6.3
Then Ph down to 5.8ish.

(I dont bubble.)
I'm a bit anal maybe. I always mix/stir the res while adding each item separately.
Mixing very well and waiting a minute or two before adding the next.

Ph down. Instead of adding it last. When the amount of PH down needed is consistent batch after batch....I add the ph down first, before the silica.

You should be able to soak a solo until runoff. How often you can soak increases as the days go by.

How are they looking?
You hittin them with 3/4.5?

Ya i started soaking the cups 2 days ago, they are probably taking 1/1.5 days to start drying.

They are doing well tho. i think lol

Yup those are hydro nutrients. I don't use them so just read the directions on the bottle...well except for dosage. Those are always too high. Being all GH I think it's safe to assume they will mix well.

I just switched to COCO myself from FFHF and just holy cow.. i swear my plants seem to be growing twice the speed of my last ones. I also switched to Jacks 321 (was using FF growbig last grow) and no calmag (using separate cal and mag) so far coir has been amazing... :)

Ya the first nute batch i made i used 1ml micro....1.5ml bloom....1.5ml calmagic per gallon

Second batch .25ml amor si....1.5ml micro....2.25ml bloom and 2ml calimagic per gallon.

I think they look pretty good. little bit of leaf twist on 1 or 2. but they all appear healthy.

3 cups have visible roots coming out the bottom holes already, i was very surprised to see that so quickly.

The space cookies tent is done, so while im waiting for my new lights to show up, im gonna change bulbs and stick these babies under the dimmable 600w MH
