Can you tell if this male or female yet

Flip to flowering :-)
I’m in no rush. I’m growing an auto in the same tent. The auto has white hairs and just recently started to give off a nice aroma. It’s only 3 weeks old (the auto) and I’m surprised it’s making flowers (I think). Anywho, I will remove the photo from the tent until the auto is finished. This growing stuff is great fun but can be very testing for an impatient ocd type. Lol. Thank you again.

Man this is horrible advice. I’m not sure if you’re being a troll or not at this point. It’s funny though. Hermies are no good. Plants can hermie very bad to where pretty much every bracht is seeded but you say to keep anything that has pistils. Perhaps you have no care for quality control in your own grow room but most others have higher standards.
I’m assuming he was joking and just telling me to learn by trial and error. I don’t want to mess up my auto that is in the same tent so I will remove the photo till the auto is done. This forum is tits though. Tons of good vibes and informative.

You can finish both together if you wanted and yes because of a lot of bad info i do push for peeps to find out the truth rather than all that burn the herm stuff.

Just be patient as if its gona ahow sex you would have a load more preflowers pretty soon - no idea why everyo.e wants to killplants before this point just cause they got one singular weirdd growth at a node.

As always pistils mean female ao if you see em your good :-)

Because you’re the king of sexing plants and have never been wrong. I remember the speech. It was rather long and very self congratulatory. Read it on multiple posts. Let us all take a bow and grow out hermies as lord Kingrow suggests.
Yep,that speech is normally attached to a thread peeps call male but after i say wait it turns female - go to noob or general and you can pull ten recent threads i was right on and where you dont give any consideration for the weird growths which neither define as male or female.

Quite frankly ive written on all these subjects whilst you just run around saying burn all herms - you dont even know what a herm is... Laughable.

Now i and others grow weed here are nay need your negative grow shit :-)

I’m well aware of weird growths. I’m not the one who’s been wrong time after time which is funny considering this is your specialty. Lol. I can remember several posts where obvious male flowers in plants that turned out to be male. You were saying “ wait and see.,it’s just a weird growth..wait and see” everyone else was saying it’s a male. Happens time and time again. You encourage the growth of intersex plants and seeding as well. It’s you against everyone. It’s you who doesn’t know what a hermie is. If you have balls and pistils then it’s a hermie and you can’t understand that cause you’re an idiot and you’ve been called out on it by literally dozens of members while nobody ever agrees with you. That should tell you something. Pistils don’t mean female because those pistils can be accompanied by balls...not nannners..I said balls. That’s a hermie and needs tossed From the garden. We all know you smoke shit weed and that’s what the rest of us are trying to avoid. Go to grass city where your bullshit might fly

You got it. He’s not joking. He’s just a moron who attempts to ruin people’s grows. If you get pistils and balls than it is a hermaphrodite and will Seed. Toss that plant. You know what to look for.

Actually, I think it’s time to put up or shut up. Let’s see your plants. Let’s see some buds.

Didn’t mean to stir up any trouble but I will update as the plant matures. As long as the photo plant doesn’t mess up my auto I’m happy. Male or female,I have learned quite a bit already. In the future I know to plant more than just one.

If it were me, I've never seen two quite so different preflowers on the same plant, but I never ever chop based on preflowers unless I see pollen pods stacking... And I've been wrong at least three time, and surprised with little short spade shapped preflowers like that that grew hairs later on... Just saying, you spent all that time and money on growing - why not wait till you're 100% sure, nothing is going to get ruined I promise...

I also used to jump the gun and cut slow flowering lanky plants, even girls, because I thought it was shit genetics... Until I realized they were sativa doms... Don't just go cutting down stuff willy-nilly until you have learned something about identifying sex...

Dont sweat it, these boards are a democracy so good and bad have to exist side by side. The main thing is you get both sides of the coin and not just a one sided view.

I actually dont like the industry or a lot of that advice, expect a more comprehensive over view from i and a few others :-)

I actually think its time you produce clear concise threads on each of these subjects as i have.

I have a whole volume here that differs to you from how to dry and cure all the way to genetic strategy.

Im actually more a contributor than someone who needs to prove or re-write reals of threads just because someone hasnt been following the science or real growers here.

Im sorry its just the way its become here :-)

I won’t cut it down either way. It’s my first plant but I will remove it from my tent. I’m using this plant as a learning tool. Plus, I love growing plants in general. I will just let it grow/veg until the auto is done and then switch it to flower and learn some more. Thank you for the response.

I appreciate your time and I’m happy there’s a forum to discuss growing. I’m a little surprised about the extreme difference in opinions between experienced growers though. I also understand I prematurely asked the gender question resulting in conflicting opinions. I will continue to grow the plant and learn. But, I will update this thread with a definitive picture when it flowers. I’ve learned in life that experience is always the best teacher. Thank you again.

Theres all the generic burn the herm info and how it will seed your whole grow but theres so much more to it which is never explained.

Whilst some stick to the very slim subset of internet industry info i prefer a much wider overview where we can give consideration for how hard early sexing can be and the pitfalls of mutant preflowers and stuff.

You already learnt to wait this stuff out and get at least a few accurate preflowers so its you now know how the pros do it :-)

Update: The thing I was questioning in the first photo IS just new growth. My autoflower has the little white hairs coming out of it so now I know first hand what a female plant looks like. The white hairs look to be growing out from a future flower I guess. Half my house stinks from 1 small plant that doesn’t have big buds on it! Can’t imagine what it will smell like when it’s fully grown. I will come back and post another update.
