My lights too far away?

I posted a pic..i got 12 clones under 24/0. 2 600w mh they are juat starting to take root and grow u can see the distance in the pic....to far? Just right?

They look pretty happy so far.

If you start to see the distance between nodes increasing, and the plant is putting more energy into building stem than new nodes and leaves, you’re probably too far away.

Just to be safe and ease my mind i dropped the lights 12" im at about 24" from the top of the tallest clone

I would say a little higher would be better but you'll know in a day or two.

Its all a learning curve for me bro this is my first grow ever

When I say a little higher, I mean like 2 inches higher so no big deal one way or another. Put your hand at the top of your plants for a minute. If your hand gets hot raise your lights till they no longer get hot, then raise them just a tad bit more.

If light intensity is the question moving the light higher is the answer for inexperienced growers.
