1500w COB in 2x4 tent??

Ok I realize it looks like a cheap light
I’m BROKE AF
Don’t have time to build a light-
Is this thing going to fry the hell out of my plants???

My viparspectra literally burned in 4 spots, melted plastic an all.... looking to change to COB. Opinions??!

The point of COBs is the high level of efficiency , that doesn't apply to all cobs, there are shit ones and good ones. Pretty much no good COB lights on amazon.

But to answer your question we would need an idea of the real power draw and your tent height.
Its defo not a 1500w light. Probably 100-300w range.

What does the small print say the power draw is?

Edit, at 240w its not going to fry your plants.

lol yeah it says the price on the pic, I missed it first look.

Obviously its not a great light but it will get you through.

5ft is low profile, you will have to train plants low because you want 1.5-2ft of clearance from light to canopy.
Its always tricky working with less than 6ft when you have pot height, filter, light and plants to fit in there.:bigjoint:

Well, I would. But I’m broke. $108 is a big chunk of $ for me. 150 is almost impossible.
Right on. man, its better then nothing, and probably the best way to go on your budget. just put it up high, and get a lux meter so you can get a good idea of what its actually doing PAR wise. Good luck bud,

Thanks! My vipar was okayyyy for as long as I had it.... I do agree 5’ is a short ass tent, I’ve had to LST my last grows... and shoot for growing short indicas
I know it’s all sub optimal, but hopefully with more time and $ i can upgrade
I appreciate your help!
