The Politics of Truck Drivers Urinating in Public..

Nobody says you have to go see them if you don't want to.

Artifacts like that should be preserved in order to make the past real and undeniable. As Obe says, it isn't taught everywhere. People are trying to deny what happened. Without a physical record, they might one day prevail. Those artifacts are a rebuke to MAGA hats and Klan hooded goons. For sure they want to deny them and probably do but the proof is preserved. Take a look at the artwork depicting black people during the jim crow era. It's disturbing. It should be preserved.

Here's something you probably won't believe, but there is actually a Jim Crow museum of racist memorabilia in Big Rapids, MI. It's on the campus of Ferris State University.

https://www.ferris.edu/jimcrow/

Why there's a museum for this garbage, I'll never figure out. I've never been there, but I do drive by the university often as there is a couple factories up there I pick up from or deliver to.

IMO, all those items should've just been burned in a fire.

Why don't you buy a shiny new MAGA hat, and donate it to that museum?

Monday morning I'm headed to a delivery in Montpelier then over to that Menards distribution center in Holiday City to pick up a full trailer of pressure treated fence panels then delivering direct to a Menards store in South Haven, MI.

I hate when those Amish fuckers drive their horse and buggy on the roads, the roads are usually so narrow out in rural Amish country. It sucks having to creep along at 9.4 mph because there's not enough room to pass safely with a semi.
I get pissed sometimes
I am at a playground with my kid right now and there is a guy wearing a "Sun's out, guns out" wife beater with no sense of irony. I have seen them before but only in comedy movies and never non-ironically. I also see a ten inch Insane Clown Posse tattoo.

Fuck, I hate this state.

Now that I realize it, there are three shirts referencing guns. Two are firearms.

You guys are right and I understand where you're coming from.

It's just my first reaction to be disgusted by that kind of stuff.
me too.

At an exhibit in San Francisco that displayed 3000 year old artwork from Mesopotamia, some pieces depicted sacrificing prisoners of war to their gods. It was kind of disgusting too. But educational.

Juggalos LOL

Not sure why, but I always thought that you were in Chicago

I'm going to try to hook up with @srh88 yet this summer, we're all somewhat close, we should all try to get together and go to a bar and get some food and drinks and fuck with some Trumper hicks.

Although I don't blaze anymore, I can still get fire smoke, I'd bring some for you guys to chief on

This shit needs to be in museum, precisely to serve as a warning to future generations.

Burn the rest.

Heading over to Sandusky, MI today to a Tractor Supply store.

So planning my route on my Garmin, and Sandusky is 3 hours away, that's going to be a nice ride with only one construction area along the way luckily. Sandusky, MI is over by Lake Huron, really nice area of Michigan.

I did look at the Tractor Supply store on Google maps using satellite view and it looks like I have to swing into the left lane (oncoming traffic) and back into the dock from the road, damnit. I really don't like doing that, but sometimes it is what it is.

I'll have to be really careful, you never know what cars are going to do as most of the time they are stupid and impatient. I do not doubt that someone will try to drive behind my trailer while I'm backing or they can see what I'm doing and sit there and beep their horn lol

Have to be there at 8am and I need fuel before I hit the road, so getting ready to head to work here in a minute.

Cars are stupid. In Chicago one day I was sitting at a complicated intersection that contained on and off ramps for I-90/94. It is one of those situations where you can see several traffic signals as there were two more intersections within 100 yards or so. Anyway, a truck driver must have gotten confused as to which signal he was looking at and starts up despite him being the first person at the red light. So he just goes. At this point you have people coming into the road from a highway off ramp and, as most of them are quite familiar with the traffic pattern, they fully expect a green light so they are going at a very good clip.

So when the truck starts through the intersection, nearly all the cars around me see this as the signal to go too - despite the red light right in front of them. So I lay on the horn - just to warn people. The guy in back of me is pissed that I am not going, pulls around me, flips me off when suddenly the guy in front and to the right of him gets t-boned at about 35 mph and slammed right into his passenger side.

I stuck around long enough to let the police know that the light was red and everybody just followed a truck through. The guy who flipped me off and I never spoke but he was super pissed at the guy who got t-boned and slammed into him - shrug.

I'm thinking about becoming an owner/operator. My boss said he'd help me and I could contract through his company and run under his authority until I can get my own.

I can use his trailers and he'll help me with truck maintenance. His buddy is a salesman at a Five Star truck sales. This is the truck I'm looking at, it's pretty sweet and was very well maintained.

Sorry not the best pictures, but here's more info
http://www.5startrucksales.us/truckinv.html
The price is $26,900, I can get it for $22,500 if I put half down (I can). I'll still have enough money to apply for DOT and MC numbers and pay for insurance through my boss. I'll have enough cash left to pay for any unexpected truck maintenance issues and fuel for a while, I'll really be stretching my savings pretty thin, but I could do it.

I don't know, I have a lot of things to think about. This seems like a nice opportunity for me, not everyone getting started in this business has someone to help them out and make sure they have plenty of miles to run to be successful and make it

What do you guys here think about it, should I do it?

I don't know anything about that industry so anything I said would be bullshit. But I wish you the best with whichever way you decide to go, it seems like you will do well either way.
