slowing down Drying Girls

Dear Gentlefolks,
A serious dilemma, is presenting itself on the horizon.
My presence is required away from two drying girls. But they are about done and soon need trimming and curing. They are going to go extra crisp if they wait for my return.
Any suggestion on how I could slow down the drying process without investing in heavy industrial equipment?

They where cropped on the 29th of June and I won’t be able to trim until the 10th of July.
Temperatures are between 75 and 85 degrees and couple of fans blowing on them.

I was considering such a contraption but was also contemplating the risks of rot or fungal growth. Would it not be a serious risk? have you tried this method previously?

Yes
If you place the buds in a brown paper bag it helps remove moisture
If you place the same paper bag inside a black garbage bag it makes the weed sweat
Both allow you to slow cure and drying
If you are leaving for a week it depends the dryness of your weed as to how to store it while gone

Moving forward I would suggest reducing your temps to 70 or below (preferably 60degrees and 60% rh) and dont blow fans directly on the drying plants. Ideally your plants should be drying over the course of 14-21 days. Low and slow for the win.

I actually just did what herbs & suds suggested, 10 days ago i put my semi-dried harvests sitting in rolled up brown paper bags, these bags are inside a half closed unscented trash bag which is sitting in a 70f/55% rh room with a fan pointing away from the bag.

I hope to god they aren't deep fried when i get back lol, I didn't trim shit but the big fan leaves in fear of overdrying. I won't be able to check them for another 5 days.

if it matters, ill report back by then.

I would think It can if you put too much or have high RH outside the bag, paper bags slowly wick out the humidity.

I go two weeks just hanging whole plants in a 65rh room
Then I trim and work back and forth opening the bags of buds to moderate and slow the drying
Mold usually only occurs if you jar wet weed
