JD - could I ask for your honest review once you've got the finished product? A lack of space indoors will inhibit a good grow - so I'm looking at doing an outdoor crop of the Tiger next year.

true. though atm i have WW male crossed w Diablo OG and WW x Skywalker OG in flower w 2 phenos of Afgh x SSkunk from a 30 yr private continual grow.so happy. got cuttings in full veg for breeding programs. Afg x SS week 5 of flower as of today in pic. The Diablo had big Indica leaf development in veg but morphed to full Sativa looking much like thai. really hoping that's the case so maybe 5 more weeks flower. anyhow i think a Panamanian or African Sativa will be on the list soonU make my mouth water in anticipation!

30 year continual grow; that’s quite something...
Soz my stupidity here, but I’ve not heard that a plant can morph from one type to another; is that a unique thing to ur strain?

thanks! first run so still learning it's preferred environment, as for morphing i have seen various traits come through at various points in a grow -not to say for example the trichome profile going from indica to sativa in effect - that ive not seen but leaf change i have seen but not to this broad of a change.

My Red Diesel (a 70% sativa dominant hybrid) does a similar thing. It doesn't change from an indica to sativa in mid stream or anything like that - but the first few lower node fans are fatter and more indica looking. But as the plant matures, the fans get longer and thinner and more sativa looking.

Week 8 ends tonight - we are on final flush for both strains. They flower for 9 weeks under my blurples. Both are good n' frosty with their hairs browning up nicely. Next Sunday evening should be chop.
Then the vegging girls get woven into the SCROG net, I take my next cuttings and reboot the entire process.

Good morning Rainbow and crew,
I'm growing some Kali Mist...I'm beginning to suspect that it is more indica then I previously believed. It has fairly fat leaves...not like an Afghan...but nore like a hybrid.
When breeders want to make a sativa "better" or perhaps "more marketable" might be more accurate...what they do is to introduce more indica genetics. That usually shortens flowering time and increases yield. But it's no longer the original. I think that's what they did.
On the morphing thing...perhaps it's related to maturity. Node patterns change and a leaf change seems like it would be possible.
I manifold trained most of my plants...and they are now in flowering mode. I have one Malawi pheno of Golden Tiger (Ace ThaixMalawi). Supposed to be a 100% sativa but it is not stretching. I hope my manifold training didn't stunt it. Anybody heard of that happening?

Nice!! I also concoct a coconut oil/lecithin extract (about 10 grams good bud per cup of oil) that are used for baking. And I too just had a sudden craving for some chocolate brownies.

i figure the Afg x SS is 3 to 4 weeks, the Diablo and Skywalker 4 to 5 weeks out, veg room is way crowded. Atm the flower tent is half used for space so ill pick up another 1k blurple and have early to late flower areas. going to work up some fem seeds so i can shut the garden down after all is flowered and travel some. good to be the farmer hard to be the farmer.

Hi OSD,
When my veg area gets crouded...I do some training and defoliation. I do that a little bit in bloom too. Especially the damn fan leaves that stick straight way too far.

interestingly i just got done pruning fan leaves. i am going to thin out for cloning in a week, 2 more weeks flower room will have some space. these photos are from June 18th, this Afg x SS pheno is twice as big now sitting in a 7g grow bag. That is for sure getting flowered next. about an hour ago i counted a good 30 maybe 40 6 to 8 inch tall clones i can take of all the plants in there for the 3rd and final flowering of the year.
That said yes your right getting it opened up is a darn good thing. So far i deoliated on day 21 and a light hitting of pesky fan leaves today, week 5. Gotta say it, the room smelled So damn good.
