Honey oil is a high grade cannabis extract product made by various solvents. It is often honey coloured, or amber, and of various qualities depending on input product. The key point is a polar extraction, filtering the product, and not extracting unwanted plant pigments like chlorophyll, which makes oils darker in colour. You can make a honey coloured cannabis oil by extracting with chloroform, naphtha, isopropyl, ethanol, butane, propane and other non polar solvents. It’s all in the technique and input herb.

Cherry oil, back in the day, was the high grade honey made by a pro with killer bud. The vials looked amazing, often reddish, not always.

These days, honey oil is like a precursor step before finalizing the purge into shatter. Butane honey oil.

Back in the day oil was $15 a vial black, $20-30 honey and cherry was 30-40.

These days it’s $20-50 for most extract products Canadian depending on where you get it and it’s quality.

..They STOPPED MAKING true honey oil BY THEN(its just a process using a particular chem) as you could no longer buy the chemicals needed to get the said product.
It became crack,,,,,, after cocaine really lol ,,,by comparison to what it once was when Pablo was around :)

I think the last time I had real honey oil was in high school in about 1981.

It’s a made up word for an illegal obsolete product... that we can agree on. Who is “THEY” what is “TRUE HONEY OIL” and what “Chems” are you going on about.... it’s a light coloured cannabis extract bro, not some trademarked product. Plain and simple. It’s cannibinoids and terps.

Honestly though, can you tell us more about the older version(pre 90s) of honey oil, my ignorance is showing.

The shit I used to see 40 years ago was it..when I started buying it in high school...maybe 10 years later it was very rare and usually cut with baby oil. Once they stopped using the chems they did..they used the same shit to make cocaine e...now they use any solvent..like Gas ..to make coke with..
I forget the name of the shit but it was PURE PURE and pablo was the only one using it in the world lol
now its beeen banned no issue really

Damn gb..you must be older than the hippy. Lol. My dad says oil/hash/coke/acid was way better back then so i guess that makes sense, But bud is consistently better now.

Side note; my old hippy buddy makes roach oil..its Like Buckley's. Tastes beyond disgusting but it works. Soakes roaches in 99% isopropyl for a day, strains and puts in a glass jar on the window sill until the alcohol evaps. Is that an old stoner thing?

I've never seen the stuff Gb is talking about. Honey oil was rare in my section of the planet.

On the east coast back then, hash was great so he says. When they got Columbian, Jamaican tops, Thai etc.. he says it was really good. But they usually had a lot of shit Mexican.
