I honestly feel we should be able to buy any firearm... Auto or not. Hell, I should be able to buy a tank is I wanted too. Not that I ever wood have a reason to... I think we should be able to have the same firepower as the people policing me.

And I damn sure don't give a shit what anyone thinks. And none will ever get mine.. Or my sons who feel the same.

I did just pick up two 30-06's, acouple weeks back from a friend who was upgrading for gifts for my grandsons as soon as they are old enough to use them. Some heritage to pass down to them from me.

To me, that's about the age of 16 with there fathers permission... Not that they need another gun in their house,, they have enough,,, but, why not,, a perfect gift for a young man that comes from a hunting and shooting household.. I gave both my boys their first guns at 16 years old. Sure they could'nd use them without me. Hell, they didn't come outta the gun case without me till they were of age to use them responsibly and go hunting with me.

and I'm stocked enough with enough ammo to last a lifetime or two.........

If one don't like a gun they sure don't have to buy one....

I'm not asking people to buy one,,, but sure are alot trying to say I shouldn't be able to buy one.

Clearly you don't understand the concept of stopping power or over penetration if you're using a 50 cal for home defense. :dunce:

Do a little homework:
What do gunshot wounds consist of? (temporary stretch cavity and permanent crush cavity)
Why are some rounds far more lethal than others? (see above)

For home defense, I'll take my 357 magnum every day over a 50 desert eagle. (Full power Federal 125g JHP)

I'd still rather shoot a 325 grain GDHP bullet. It won't leave as much mess behind. Or maybe more?

BTW, my "Old Lady' still uses the 357, it is a good gun period. That and the 41 mag were my primary gun till I got the 50. I will say the 50 is almost to much gun... But I like it...

Sure ain't killed myself yet.. But if you need one and don't have one,, your 100% dead. All while waiting for the police to show... I'd rather work with the 43 times more likely.. And how can anyone come up with that figure? Every situation is different.. So how can anyone claim that... Except for people picking and choosing statistics...

IF I got the chance,, I'd put them down. IF I can believe it I wood... Believe that........

BTW hollow points won't go thru your house's walls and come out the other side... Unless you live in a tarpaper shack. They damn near explode.
Not like I'm shooting the BMG 50. But damn are they fun....
