Chapter 6 : Bodhi Genetics. No Til organics. Mixed lighting including quantum boards.
Genetics: Lemon Hashplant, Sunshine Daydream and Guava Wookie

Day 77 from seed
Day 61 since 12/12

Brief report - still jugging along. We're probably looking at 70 days if not a little longer.
There is quite a bit of variation within each strain. I seem to have 3 main phenotypes of Sunshine Daydream, for example.
Once we get closer to the end, I will showcase each strain - trying to figure how to best do that visually.

Day 65 since 12/12

Some of the girls are starting to show nice fall colors - a nice sign of ripening. The Guava Wookies will be the first to finish. The Lemon Hashplant and Sunshine Daydream will probably go one week further. I'm guessing the Wookies will be done around day 72 to 75.

Chapter 6 : Guava Wookie Showcase at day 65 of 12/12
I have a total of 4 guava wookie's - 3 of them will be showcased. The 4th is good too...I just ran out of time. I apologize that the whole plant pictures suck.

The guava wookie's have a bit of variance in their phenotypes but do not stray too far from their parents.
Trichome production is above average.
Flower size is average.
Bud to leaf ratio is excellent.
The only real negative comment is that the plants are very floppy. What I mean is that the lower branches droop big time.
Plant #3 is the most extreme and the lower branches are almost completely horizontal.

Guava Wookie #2
This has been one of, if not the, most beautiful flowering plant over the last 6 weeks or so. Certainly not the largest but just consistently nice. Hoping she puffs up a bit and starts to swell.

Guava Wookie #3

This one is the most unique. She started to turn a really nice dark color after week 8 or so. I thought she was all set to ripen up and then she started throwing new pistils just a few days ago!
Can't wait to see how she finishes :)

Guava Wookie #4

This one has the least amount of branch lean. She was the 1st plant out of all plants to begin showing the nice fall colors in her leaves.

Lots more coming this week :)

Chapter 7 Update.

Chapter 7 has not been off the to best of starts. BUT:
I think this might be a blessing in disguise - allow me to explain.

My original plan was to have (3) of each of the following bodhi strains:
-Cobra Lips
- Super Silver Hashplant
- Forest Queen
- Hashplant 4
- Hashplant D
- More Cowbell

I had quite a bit of trouble early on. Lots of seeds simply did not germinate. The ones that did, I got a poor percentage that actually survived.
I had to bring more seeds on and then more again just to hit 3 plants for each of the six strains.

Then I burned them with the LED's - FUCK.
Here they are now - they have stabilized and should be ready to go:

Because of these setbacks and difficulties, some interesting options have popped up.
JBC recently had a new bodhi drop and I was lucky enough to grab 3 new packs:
- Strawberry Goji
- Old Soul
- Lemon Lotus

I also have been waiting to try the following (which I already have)
- Ace Seeds Panama
- Ace Seeds Golden Tiger
- HSO Chemdawg (It was the best Chem I could find)

Since the original 18 plants are so behind, it's going to be a blockbuster chapter 7. I'm going to run all of the strains I mentioned and I'm increasing the counts too. No strain will have less than 4 seeds.

This next chapter is going to require a complete overhaul on my room. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet but I'm excited!!!

Saw your posts in the Bodhi thread and made my way here. Man SUPER impressive technique those plants look amazing. Finding out they are grown in 1 gallon pots with soil is just down right crazy. This is a great way to pheno hunt using soil. Exactly what I am looking to do. I currently use coco but want to get away from the bottled nute game and grow organic. Your shit is on point man good job.

whats the average weight you get running 12/12 from seed in 1 gal pots?

do you get atleast 2 oz per plant?
This would only be my second time trying. The 1st time was all the way back in Chapter #1 (links in my sig). I got no where near 2 oz per plant. More like 0.75.
I'm running a lot more light this time - and its targeted. Both from above and from the sides so all of the lower stuff will be great...no larf at all. And the flowers are very dense. Not sure what to expect and I don't think I'll hit 2oz per plant but who knows??

Genetics: Lemon Hashplant, Sunshine Daydream and Guava Wookie

Day 83 from seed
Day 67 since 12/12

Cruising right along. They continue to fatten up and are starting to get more and more sticky.
Most of these pictures are of various Sunshine Daydream plants. All of the plants on the outside of the 1st picture are SSDD.

The pheno to look for with the SSDD is called the butter cut. My experience with it was that it smelled like blueberry pancakes SMOTHERED in melted butter. The buzz is what makes it special though, very calming happy weed. Great for nerve pain and anxiety. The best way I can describe it is its like being wrapped up in a warm blanket on a cool night. Not sure if you keep mothers or re-run plants you like or if you strictly pop seeds.

Thank you! I will definitely take note of that. I've only ever been a seed planter but I'm going to start doing some more focused work in 2020. Right now I'm trying to go thru as many different strains as I can and then circle back and get to work with the ones that were really special (hopefully some of these will be special).
