The H2O Ph tester came today and I ran some tests ... just to make sure it was working I started with some poland spring out of a bottle and it consistently came in at 6.4 -6.6 so I'm assuming it's working... then I tested the tap water (which I don't use all that often) and that came in between 7.6 - 7.9 which I believe is high ... then I tested the a/c condenser water (which I use most often) and it came in slightly lower at 7.4 -7.5, but still high I believe ... just for shits I mixed a little garden lime in some water and it shot up to 9+ ... I'm going to mix up a batch of AACT and start testing that also to see if there are any fluctuations

So I'm assuming the water I'm using needs to come down a bit, correct? To bring this down is it recommended to start using sulphur mixed with the water until I get to say 6.5?

For what it's worth... the browning on the edges hasn't progressed at all, the fan leaves that were affected remain the same... I also went ahead and pulled all the yellowing lower leaves and since giving them the regular dose of FF Grow Big a couple days ago I haven't really seen any new yellowing, and everything has actually perked up a bit, so that appears promising

I would take the eater you are going to use, add your nutes, then test the ph. It might change a lot once nutes are added.

After nutes are added, ph to 6.5 or whatever you are shooting for. Everyone is different on their preferred ph but between 6 and 7 should be the target.

I adjust ph with bottles of "ph up" and "ph down". They are dirt cheap and work great.

Glad the browning stopped and they girls are happy. The progress on the house looks awesome.

Despite my wife's objections and dirty looks, I ended up getting some work done today. I got one test rib up using 25' of pipe and it ends up giving me 11'1" of height at the center, which is decent but I was kind of hoping for 12'+ ... I went with 25' because it's 2 full sticks plus a half, which saves me on material .. if I go bigger I'll end up needing to buy 3 full sticks for each rib .. I also need to keep in mind that too much height could end up being unstable ... we'll see, I'll sleep on it.

I think you are gonna be impressed! Lol...I took what I've seen some other growers use and reworked it for my needs. It's all self contained in the pots and working great so far.

I'll get some pics tomorrow so I can get feedback. I have a good feeling about it though. We will see. Hahaha

Looking healthy and happy! Nice work! Thirsty is good if the wet dry cycle is going that fast, so great news.

You clearly have healthy roots and they are hungry and eating. Awesome news.

I wouldn't. I would leave it alone and just reinforce the weak side so that it doesnt cause damage when it gets heavy during flower.

In my humble opinion, it looks healthy enough to let it go, and the damage and stress of splitting it now could be a huge problem.

I agree, that's a great looking plant, let it go, see how it recovers

thx sco ... i'll let the meter sit for a while, i only gave it about 30 seconds each test.. i ordered an h2o ph tester on amazon earlier so I won't go nuclear until I get an idea of my water ph ... i was looking a little closer earlier and it's only really a couple of them I'm concerned with.. the worst one I tried a little superthrive and i'll see how that one reacts ... i'm not a huge fan of superthrive, especially this late in the season, but ive used it before in the past on problem plants and i've had decent results... we'll see

Did letting them settle for 30 mins change any of your soil readings Stealth and i would go for 6.5 water PH in MHO it would be best since your reading high on ph .

Yes it actually did change slightly. I let the meter sit for about 30-40 mins and they were all testing between 6-7 ... things really appear to be looking much better ... we got a 15 min downpour yesterday and today they all seem to be loving life ... I can't thank you guys enough for all the input .. im on the road all day for work, but I'll try to get some updated photos later when I get in

@stealthfader508 do you have a ph pen? You can do a soil slurry test to test the ph of your soil. Works better compared to the cheap soil ph meters imo

How to Test Soil Using the Slurry Method

1. Gather some soil from the test area.
2. Take the homogeneous sample and add equal parts of soil and distilled or deionized (DI) water in a 1:1 ratio. So, for 25 grams of soil you would add 25 mL of water.
3. Stir the sample for 5 seconds.
4. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
5. Start stirring the sample again after 15 minutes, and take your measurement.

I am getting close to the last N heavy feed for the season. They are almost all through transition.

Getting exciting now! Hopefully we can hold it together and the weather cooperates.

My outside plants appear they may start flowering any time now, I was hoping they already would be by now. I dont want them getting much larger trying to avoid nosey neighbors. My inside plants ended up falling over, the buds appeared to swell up after the last watering and I was able to run some string to get them standing up again. I found that using twist ties wrapped around the string holds the stems without strangling them.
