I swear the GGC seems unstable, any stress seems to make it pop nanners. Will be interesting to see how the black funk dawg cross turns out, I did not grab any of his black line but some of those crosses looked great.
I've got blackberry breath and black garlic beans too, I've heard black garlic is really unstable. Only one black funk dawg hermie out of 7 females, not bad.

Damn shame that people are having hermie issues, I wonder how much of it is stress, light leaks etc that people are not seeing, and how much is unstable genetics.

Yeah I'm not sure. I don't think it is fair to judge a breeder because of a hermie in a ten pack. That being said there are some breeders that have a high reputation for stress testing and stabilizing their strains. I always hear that Duke Diamond stress tests his potential parent plants before breeding with them. Screenshot_20190816-005920.pngRobert Connell Clarke

Yea, there is one that I have been hearing of lately called Predictive Breeding who will scrap a strain that is basically ready for sale as seeds if while abusing the hell out of them one pops nanners. It is that kind of stress testing that will have me paying a decent price for some seeds rather than just going the single seed or cheap pack route and hoping for success.

How many breeders are not looking close enough to notice they are breeding hermaphrodites, or breeding strains that were already. When you breed with someone else genetics, you don't know the history of the plant and the breeders will lie, lie lie to sell seeds. No tegrity

I would honestly guess that 90% of breeders are pollen chuckers with no stress testing of any sort, I didn't even know strain stress testing was a thing until recently because no one ever talks about it. It does explain a lot of the "X breeder is a hermie breeder" posts you see though.

What autos did you like? I personally haven’t grown to many but was rethinking on the subject
HSO's Bubba was pretty nice, as was Auto Seeds GSC, and from what anyone who has grown them has said you can't go wrong with Mephisto. I have someone who is potentially going to give me some double grape by them that I am excited to try out in the future.
I ran GSC until I was bored of growing it, I also reversed and crossed it to the Bubba and a Chocolate Skunk auto I was growing at the same time. People have seemingly enjoyed the Bubba x GSC, at least 1 person here grew it and my cousin and people around his neighborhood all grew it outdoors this summer and had it finish early to mid July.

That’s the difference between real breeders and pollen-chucker breeders. Nothing wrong with pollen-chucking persa...but if you’re selling seeds (or even sharing them with friends), you must stress test all parental breeding stock (male & female). This is especially true when breeding Fem’s.

Got my Spumoni, Currylato and Critical + 2.0 transplanted into 10 gallons with promix, and my pump died so I need to replace it and will be stuck trying to hand water until I do.
Plants got a little fucked up with lack of proper pH'd water while my daughter was caring for them while I was unable to walk.

Spumoni, Currylato ...Killer strain names! Is there a breeder or did you breed it? My next project is to make us all breeders.
The Plug Seedbank out of the UK. The Spumoni is Sunset Sherbert x Dosidos, and Currylato is Sunset Sherbert x Gelato.

My goal is to reverse the Spumoni after I take clones of all and to cross over to the other 2, I expect that it may create super unstable hybrids but that can maybe be worked through over some grows assuming life allows for it. I will potentially use my GA3 to reverse although I may just buy some STS or CS again as I have successfully used CS in the past.

El Chapo sounds like a great strain, I had not seen their Sherbtree, not sure if they were selling it when I got my seeds so I will need to look into that one.
Did you order direct from them or from a bank selling their gear ?

Not bad for a first run. Sugary stuff. It smelled really floral at chop time, reminded me of my grandma's lilac garden when i was a kid. Next crop (got some granddaddy and Nuken started already) will have a couple more weeks veg. Triggered too early as height was a bit of a concern so i kinda fucked my yield and bud size...oh well. It's been a while!
