Hmm I didnt even pay attention to that lol But it is the 1680d I believe. I know the 10 x 5 box was heavy as hell. I also like that these tents have the metal connectors and not plastic like my secret jardins had.

Cheers :)

I have noticed the threads pulling on the zipper along the top where it supports the weight, and tiny tiny little specks of light shine through when the light is on, you have to look to see it. This isn't a concern for me, it's not enough to cause havoc with the flowering, and I'm not trying to be stealthy... In fact I will be ordering another one, exactly the same for veg.

I almost bought one of the dual chamber tents, but I just felt like I would be wasting flowering space.
If you arent limited on space you can use it to keep your mothers in the left side and cloning trays on the right. Its a nice little addition to a perpetual garden.

Well I am still trying to attain "perpetual" and I think one more additional tent would suffice. The biggest issue I will have is maintaining it.

If it ends up being a multi chambered tent then I would suggest using T5 fluorescent lights for mothers and clones. I have the L90 from Secret Jardin(would have gone much larger but space won't allow for it where I placed it) and have a 2 foot 4 bulb T5 light on the left for mothers, 2 T5's on upper shelf in right side for rooted clones transplanted to solo cups, and a single T5 for the cloning tray on the bottom of the right side. Easily manageable and doesn't consume much extra electricity.:bigjoint:

The ice fishing tents are not that expensive and way easier to put together than grow tents.
Not sure what ice fishing tents you are referring to , but a good ice fishing tent actually costs the same if not more then a good growing tent of equal size. Not to mention it is not designed to be grown in. So zero ducting ports and no weight hanging , not to mention no floor or reflective walls.

Cheers :)

some have reflective materials too...
on that comes to mind was called the HT "green house" "the hot one on the ice" 6' by 5' by 5'6" high was approx 125 bucks when new.. now would be about 250$$$ with slight mods you could hang decent weight off the frame...
and vents would be easy to cut...it did have a plastic floor pan that would be good for keeping the mess off your floors...
one advantage is you can ice fish in it when not growing..lol...
but this day and age you should be able to just purchase and plug and play tent with all the bells and whistles.....

What usually makes the most sense for growing at home is a dedicated room...like a small bedroom...simply for the ease of use and the ability to walk around in it to do your maintenance....plus heat becomes less of an issue...too.

Grow tents wont last long besides being a pain in the ass to put up. They shell will fall apart from UV way faster then a proper outdoor tent. There's lots of ice fishing huts that are not that expensive. I bet the tents shell would rip fast in any proper cold temps.

for the kinda money they ask for these...I think you could do a plywood grow box lined with cement board to make it fire proof....and have enough frame to carry lots and lots of weight....
you could also make it modular so it could be knocked down in a matter of minutes or as a fold up style.
The nice thing about wood and cement board they can be easily modified for ventilation ...
it could even be pre wired for a plug and play application...
plus plywood coming in 4x8 sheets could easily make a modular 8x8 or a split box for clones and flowering plants.
also would except reflective paint or foil...

tents are or were a design for people who thought growing pot was hard, and have no construction experience.
Now they can ask any person with experience to set up a room for them LEGAL LIKE
(:

I agree that they are easier but you can buy 3 6x6 600D grow tents for the price of a Eskimo
I gotta three person ..

That doesn't make sense. When we had hydro usage inspections here in 2009ish I sold tons of tents to people who have been growing for ages as it was a fast and easy set up and take down. No wood, no nails, no staples no tape and b&w pieces. I sold lot to growers who used the 4x8 or 8x8 ones for trimming and drying rooms. Sold tons to people who grew in apartments. I sold more tents to people who were growing for 10's of years than to new growers.
