@Schwaggy P is that "N" claw or heat or a combo of both in the last pic or nothing at all?

Actually, anyone should feel free to chime in.
I'm not going to try to fix it if it is an issue. She's going to ride it out. Could be that buds position to the fan. Orrrrrrr, maybe there're just sleep lol.

gelato 45 x ecto cooler, wk6ish. interesting mix of smells from this one- sharpie, cleaning products, fresh orange peel. im usually not the guy you want for smell assessment, but this plants scent is pretty distinct. satisfactory resin production so far, buds filling in nicely (especially considering their light is running as soft as it can). sorry about the lack of updates, just got my shit together after a hard drive failure. remember to back up your stuff, folks

I have two that just hit 6 wks. One is tall and lanky and absolutely covered in trichs. For some reason the leaves are light colored on it, not sure if it needs more nitrogen. The other is short and more filled in but is not near as sparkly.

sounds like one of mine, its pretty much the main stem and a couple offshoots. it will probably finish as one big bud on a stick. good resin production, very citrusy smell, really long stretch- didnt stop until about the fifth week. might be the same pheno. im curious to see what it would do outdoors

Amazing!! Hope those will be the last couple nails in my vault, but I'm afraid we all know how that goes.

And seems like I've had great success with the pollen dusting!! Thanks again my friend. Picked a couple off and they look awesome. I'm already pondering popping some of those for my next round. What a slippery slope!

I hope all is well in Schwaggy's World. Much love. :bigjoint:
I stopped lying to myself about the next pack being my last, so I know how it goes .

Good to hear the dusting worked out, glad I could help. Growing out your own creations will be a great experience considering you made the parental selections. You will notice so many nuances between the phenotypes that will stand out far more clearly being that you chose the parents based on specific traits.

your jabba f2's were awesome man!!
Nice to have you back. I'm glad the Jabba's Stash F2 provided some nice plants for you, I was most surprised by how uniform they grew for you considering they are F2. That's too bad about the inconsistent pollination, but you got enough to hopefully accomplish your goal. Those buds do have great appeal, thanks for sharing! :weed:

Great thread! Thanks for all the time and effort you have put into it @Schwaggy P I thoroughly enjoyed reading through.

I have subbed up and will follow with interest and look forward to supporting you with a seed purchase at some point in the future!
Thank you! I appreciate the support.

It’s been pretty quiet in this thread lately. Congratulations on a successful drop.

Some of you may have scored the Skunky VA. A late planting outdoors stated in early June. she is starting to flower well & has excellent vigor & a most enticing stem rub.

My expectations are high for this one. $46 a pack at @greatlakegentics is a steal for theses genetics.

Hope all is well.
Given the time investment of the drop (packing, writing, photography, testing, etc.) I fell behind on my general garden machine. It's been a hectic game of "catch-up". I'm a one-man-band with several flood tables in a staggered perpetual schedule, so harvest come every 10days or so. There is a section at literally every phase of growth/drying/need of trim, etc and now with a whole new section of responsibility (seeds). If I miss a beat, the to-do list becomes exponential. This is why I generally get on the forum early morning before the coffee kicks in. :) I'm starting to be able to pop up for air, so hopefully I'll be back to my usual posting frequency.

That Skunky VA is a beast, you trained her out well. Many of them have a solid stretch, so she looks poised to produce. :weed:

Thank you for the sentiment, I figured it's a fair price and keeps the barrier low for those wanting to try out lauded cuts' genetics without having to break the bank.

F.P.OG x Cherry Sunshine
64 days from flip.
She's looking nice. The slightly narrowed cola structure is a trait of the FPOG mother.

I would guess it is clawing from the nitrogen.

I get localized clawing (some sections) on plants when they fall outside of the optimum light "zone". This usually occurs on a mid/lower branch that falls too far to the side away from the light, or with very tall plants that exceed the height of the light. It would seem to suggest that these sections of the plant are relatively overfed for the amount of light they are getting. So I can have a plant that is happily fed with no issues that displays a nitrogen toxicity on one branch that has fallen over into shade, or a tall OG that looks great right up until the top goes above the light and is showing clawing in the shade.

This has been a point of general interest for me because it would then follow that the plant does not have a monolithic metabolism (processing food/light the same way all over), but can differentiate independent sections.

They look happy! The sharpie is from the Gelato and the cleaning/orange is from the Ecto Cooler. No apology necessary, thank you for the updates you share. Solid advice! I have multiple external drives full of pictures.

Anymore Skunky VA seeds coming in the pipeline?
I have more packs that can go toward a restock at GLG. The F2 seeds have already been made/harvested/dried and ready for me to pop to continue her progression. I will be holding off on restocking the bit I have to allow some time for any possible issues others may have had with the first drop, so that I could replace them if such a scenario were to play out. They were all tested and as some will see when they arrive, there are more than 10seeds per pack, but you never know.:blsmoke:

So, yes, the Skunky VA F1 will appear again in stock.

The tall/lanky gal sounds to be leaning to the Gelato 45. I would personally be selecting for the more Gelato 45 dominant leaners with the citrus touch of the Ecto Cooler. Given her stretch, she may need more nitrogen. The Gelato 45 mother sports some thick leathery leaves that can handle a few heavy feedings. The Ecto Cooler females were not the most show-stopping frost coverage, but they tended to really bulk up in the last quarter of flower.

@Schwaggy P I will finally be popping your Sunshine Daydream x Jabbas Stash and (Chem91skva x c99) x Chocolate Trip F4 here in the near future. Just wondering if you have any info about either you could share?

Cheers :)
@outliergenetix has grown out the Sunshine Daydream x Jabba's Stash and written quite a bit about his experience with them including pics. You may have to use the search function in this thread as well as Useful's for his posts, but it is well worth your time as he has spilled a lot of digital ink describing them. I've posted pics of both parents throughout the thread so you'll get to see the individual traits they may bring to the table.

Here's the Chemdog x C99 mother:

Here she is right after chop:
cdf.jpg

She had an excellent speedy type high that lasted for a couple hours with a slightly tropical fruit taste. The Chocolate Trip father was chosen for a large frame structure that can elongate internodal spacing without compromising the structural integrity of the plant. Both parental lines' females had a taller height and "spear shaped" bud shape. The flower time will range within the 9-10week frame. The Chocolate Trip shouldn't take away from the Chem x C99 speedy effect, so expect that side of the effect spectrum.

Thank you sir. I was having a real time trying to find info through the search. I remembered someone growing one of them out but can't seem to find it. I am excited to grow these out.

Cheers :)

I made the SSDD x Jabba's Stash as a freebie for Useful Seeds. So there are more posts from @outliergenetix in the Useful thread (use SSDD in the search). Here are some I could pull from this thread:

they are very similar i had noticed as well to the ssdd cross. there is no chemmy smell on the jabba f2s, at least not atm, liek there is with the ssdd cross. just based off research i would say the blue moonshine is coming thru on all of them to a degree and about half also have an added chemmy note prolly from the 'tres dawg' in apalachia. but they all have short petiols and tight nodes.

thanks for that info regarding selecting the seed, and the f1

hey schwaggy i meant to tell you the other day that those jabba x ssdd from useful seem to be doing what you said the jabbas did regarding the smaller 'done' looking plants need xtra time for the trichs to cloud up. at day 50 or so the nugs, not the leaves, looked really mature and covered in trichs but they are still mostly clear and tomorrow is week 9. back around day 50 i thought i was gonna cut these first turns out i cut down the vanilla kush at day 60 and everything else is still going. prolly pull em down at 9.5 weeks this weekend, but who knows i will have to see what the trichs say.

also i see 0 fade on most of these, mostly the short ones. is it unusual for the trichs to get cloudy and amber yet have no fade? if so would you pull it while looking completely helathy and no fade if the trichs say it's time or would you let it 'over ripen'. my guess is they just didn't feed heavy so there is allot left in the soil, but idk really. i don't have much experience with tyhese short stout heavy indica leaners

intersting that ssdd look identical to one i saw @Nube post in a thread of his on OG. i rememebr it because i had noticed there, as well as here, the petioles are longer and so is node spacing than the cross i have. i see what you mean how the jabba is passing on the structure. and yea i am thinking 9-10 weeks on the cross for sure. tomorrowis 9 and as of sunday all trichs were clear not one amber, hard to tell cloudy ratio with my loupe and shaky hands. the ssdd also has way better leaf to flower ratio. i am thinking the cross is largely destined to be a hash plant. unless you like trimming tons of sugar leafes i would make hash with these.

nice, i am looking froward to testing the smoke. i did oven dry a tiny piece of the most mature 3 to see how high i got with clear trichs, i didnt note which peice came from which plant but one has a strong chemmy flavor and good stone already. the other ones were noticeably not rdy to be smoked but had slight chem flavor with some other notes that elude me atm. oddly the one that smells most of chem i didnt sample as it was the furthest from rdy still shooting with hairs, that is also the lighter of the green and the tallest as well best calyx/leaf ration, but still pretty leafy.

not that you prolly care but i pulled the vanilla kush down day 60 on sunday. coulda maybe went another week, but there was some amber and i'm dry so down she went. if you wanna see what she look like when i took her down i posted some pics on chucker paradise of her, she is heavily seeded with passion fruit or a passion fruit cross, not sure which all ik is it was a bagseed of passion fruit and th eplant smelled just like the bud i got it from. i assumed it was selfed so i put it in same pot with that vamnilla kush. 2 weeks into flower i had to chop the passion fruit once i saw it was a male tho. i still have the male for later use because he is stinky in veg. there are prolly some xmass bud pollen in the mix on the vanilla kush to. these are all pot luck seeds because i was slow to pull the males out so idk which are xmass pollenated and whoich are passion fruit pollinated. i would say mostly xmass except this kush that shared a pot withthe passion fruit for first two weeks of flower

here is the link to the last pic of her. my post is halfway down page

hey dr schwaggyP I need a diagnosis. this was by far the best smelling bud and the outlier in many ways for the jabba x ssdd from useful. this burn you see is not nute burn from N I am almost certain but who knows. its only on the 4 'main cola' tops just like this one. I think it is light burn but it didn't seem that bad and wasn't the closest to the light imo. tho it was close to a 600w hps admittedly. I tried correcting with cal/mag organically and seemed to have worked at some point but in the home stretch the burn came back hard despite nothing but water for 4 weeks after a top dress 8 weeks from finish right at flip. anyway this plant has the best smelling buds by a mile im assuming straight tres dawg man its the chem I love whatever it is so I would like to maximize another run of her clones. any ideas what may avoid this so I can see her true potential

oh, it's also not bud rot tho I had bud rot before and the leaves had this exact look. these nugs are in tact and I see nothing else pointing to botritis

I added a pic after I trimmed her for drying. I didtnt want the burnt shit in my sift later so I cut it out. you can she she isn't the prettiest plants but she is dank and smelly and sticky. I got finger hash just from her and its tiny plant
